BSM

Newest Review: ... the next day. * Then she booked in lessons without even telling me when they were. BSM's Policy * They insist that you book 2 hours but my experience is that they dont fully utilise that time. They ask you to drive around on their errands - rather than around test routes. * They switched cars three times, first I was driving an Astra, then a Corsa then a Fiat 500 which disrupted my learning process. I ended up paying for more lessons just because I wasnt used to the car that they gave me. I expressly said from the beginning that I wanted to drive a Corsa and they simply ignored my wishes, and turned up outside my house in another car. ... more

I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone.
I booked a package of lessons , and was advised to pay my test and mock test fees up front, by debit card
My instructor lacked confidence, was socially inadequate and showed up 20 minutes late. It turns out he, along with the vast majority of their instructors, was unqualified.
It has taken me three months to get a refund . After over 10 phone calls, I was told eventually that a cheque had been lost in the post, then that it would take another 28 days for me to receive a substitute.
Having been told last week that "we do not have the software to refund a debit card", I finally received it today...on my debit card.
A large, uncaring, mercenary organisation that need to seriously look at
the serious issues they have with customer service and satisfaction.

BSM - A Total Waste of Time & Money!!! If you are thinking of starting driving lessons with BSM please read this post. Please consider your choice very carefully!!!! My sister learnt with BSM 9 years ago before they were franchised in the days when you could have 20 hours and that would be enough to pass your test. In 2009 they long out the process to over 45-50 hours for most people. Beware they will rip you off!!!! I had already passed my theory test with 50/50 and 67/75 and booked up a package deal with BSM thinking that I would receive premium first class training. How wrong could I be!!! My first instructor smoked in ...  Read the complete review

........BSM bad experience.........This week June/July 2009
My wife booked her test preceded by a block of intensive lessons over a week. The DAY BEFORE the test the so called "instructor" stated that he was refusing to make himself or the car ( which had already been paid for )
available, because he thought she "may not" pass.
MY wife wanted to take the test regardless of the outcome, it is her choice.
result
1. Loss of test
2. unable to reschedule with DSA because 3 days notice are required.
3.lots of tears and loss of confidence

Clearly BSM are motiated by taking MONEY and NOT providing the service required by the public.

Avoid Avoid Avoid................ shame on you BSM !

BSM driving school were brilliant for me. After shopping around, getting quotes ffrom various independent instructors, the general rate for driving lessons in my area seemed to be around the £20 mark. BSM charge £24.25 (i think) per hour, but with special block booking discounts the price came down to £21.25 an hour (which is hardly a great deal more than many independent instructors, and very well worth it when they get you through the test in no time!). My instructor from BSM was brilliant, he was always at my house 5 minutes early and never undercut my lesson times, infact on occasions I would end up with about 2 hours 15 mins of a 2 hour lesson. His approach was ...  Read the complete review

BSM are absolutely shocking. The instructor didn't show up to my first lesson but I believe that was the local center's fault, not his, then after having two lessons with him I found out he was NOT A FULLY QUALIFIED INSTRUCTOR and had never had anyone pass a test. So I'm paying £54 per two hour lesson to be trained by someone who is not even qualified. BSM also failed to book my theory test for me until I rang and chased them at the local center.
