Advantages: Pretty cars?
Disadvantages: Ignore emails, no customer services, cancelled lessons, reluctant to refund
VERY, VERY DISAPPOINTED!!
BSM was our first choice of driving school to teach our youngest son as his elder brother had passed first time with them, eight years ago. However, our 2nd experience with the school has been abominable.
A first 2-hour (unable to book one hour) lesson was arranged and pre-paid (both obligatory). The lesson was cancelled by phone with no explanation. A second lesson was booked for two hours later the same day. This was also cancelled, again, no explanation. Advised that another lesson would be arranged by phone later that same day - waited in for the call for the rest of that afternoon - but no call was forthcoming. A complete day wasted.
Decided not to continue with this unprofessional farce and emailed for a refund. There has been no reply or acknowledgement to this email, or the subsequent three I have forwarded to so-called 'customer relations'. Having still received no refund or contact by BSM, I then decided to drive to the local BSM office and speak to a 'real' person, incurring my time, petrol and parking costs. Strangely the BSM employee was unable to action my refund over the phone (even though BSM were very quick to accept payment - over the phone!) I then sat for almost half an hour in the office while the employee sent various emails. I was assured that my refund would be credited within 24 hours. It wasn't.
Phone calls to the Slough office this afternoon have also been frustratingly in vain - still no refund has been received.
It is quite obvious to me that this company is quick to accept pre-payment, but very reluctant to refund when things go wrong.
Inefficient, unprofessional, disorganised and totally lacking in any form of customer care or concern.
Would NEVER recommend. It is impossible to have confidence in a school that is run so shabbily. The only comfort being that we were made aware of the problems from the outset and were able to cancel the application and book a private instructor.
Summary: Inefficient, disorganised, unprofessional; would not recommend
