I took around 30 lessons with BSM, I can't say that I am in anyway a talented driver - but I felt pretty defeated and had 25 failures on the day, depleting my ego even further.I can't blame the school for all of my lack of savvy, but and after failing my test I swapped to another school. I had found them OK, they were good at changing lesson times, the instructor was patient and the cars were changed regularly, but there are a few problems- one the cost (18.25 per lesson) and secondly the method of tuition, nobody told me methods for reversing round a corner etc- I was told to do it by my own judgement.. now my new instructor has told me to keep a spot in the back of the car and keep the kerb on that- a great method. why wasn't I told that from BSM, I don't know, why was I put in for a test that it was pretty obvious that I would fail, I don't know that either, I suspect my instructor saw me as a well off mug with bucketloads of cash. The admin of the place is good though-but they are a bit slick, they kept sending me forms to fill in for my test when my instructor told me I was unwise to apply, even when he finally suggested it I was pretty ropey(or I'd have passed). It didn't do much for my ego getting all these 'apply now' letters, so I left a bit embittered.
