Good for Budget - I pre-booked a hire car last month for hire in January and they have just e-mailed to say they will be making a downward adjustment to deal with the recent reduction in VAT. I wasn't expecting that: a pleasant surprise. Our use of Budget on our trip to the Isle of Bute went very well. Cheryl was fast and efficient at the airport when we picked our car up and Willie was there to meet us (again, like last year - see earlier review) when we returned to Glasgow airport. Beware!! I rented a car from Budget Manchester Airport location last October. The location from arrivals was easy, and accessible with 2 kids myself my husband and 2 trolleys of luggage. The que took a good 20 minutes, but I have experienced worse in Spain and overseas, I expect it, however one member of staff was not really enough for such a large Airport with countless flight arrivals and departures. Our booking was re-checked with us, and was straight forward and correct, we were given the pre rental checklist detailing damage already on the car, we checked it against the car and drove off happy.
