The only reason we got the cars we wanted is because we only want to be dropped off at the venue (we are having a civil ceremony and reception all at the same place), so they can still meet their 3pm booking. Personally I would recommend booking the church/venue, registrar, reception venue, caterers, photographer, videographer, cake maker and cars AT LEAST 12 months in advance to be sure you get your first choice, otherwise you may very well be disappointed, especially if you are getting married during the summer months which are most popular. I am getting married in 9 months time and my venue is already fully booked for about 12 months!! We put down our deposit 16 months in advance to make sure we could get the place we wanted. I tried to book the registrar about 2 months ago (11 months before we tie the knot) and he couldn't fit us in before 1pm cos he had so many bookings already, and I have had to go with my 3rd choice of DJ because the other 2 are already booked on the night of my wedding!! Here comes the bride.Well not quite yet. There is a lot of preparation that will go on before this happy event can take place if that is it is to be a formal type of wedding.
