Ich habe jetzt zum 4 ten male vergeblich versucht durch Ihre 'Niederlassung (DHL.AE) den Verbleib meiner Sendung in Erfahrung zu bringe. niemands hier in Dubai hat auch nur dass geringste Interesse mir weiterzuhelfen, ich werde entweder darauf hingewiesen dass DHL Dubai nichts mit der Sendung zu tun hat (no express service) oder man verspricht mir einen Rückruf der dann nicht erfolgt. Ich bin 4 mal auf dem Zentralen Postamt gewesen, dort hat man keinerlei Unterlagen o. Ich haben 3 mails an Ihre mail Adresse geschickt und wurde erst vertröstet dass es noch etwas dauern kann und dann wurde mir gesagt ich müsste mich an die Dubai DHL Niederlassung wenden.
Diese Art von Service ist soll dass letzte !!! Sie halten es nicht fuer nötig auch nur dass geringste zu unternehmen um den verlauf der Sendung zu verfolgen, Ihre tracking Nummer gibt's anscheinen gar nicht im hiesigen Postsystem.
Dass war dass letzte mal dass ich Ihren Service in Anspruch genommen habe und ich werde sicher stellen dass andere Geschäftspartner hier und in Deutschland über Ihren 'Service' Bescheid wissen.
Teilen sie mir umgehend mit wo meine Sendung verblieben ist, Schadensersatzansprüche werden entsprechend durch meine Anwalt in Deutschland geltend gemacht wenn ich nicht innerhalb kürzester Zeit entsprechende Informationen erhalten.
Und schliessen Sie ihre Niederlassung in Dubai, die verhalten sich geschäftsschädigend.
Having just written a negative review about my experiences with Parcelforce, it reminded me of the service that I've had from DHL in the past. This is therefore a review of the delivery company DHL, based on around 15 deliveries I've had with them over the last 18 months or so.
I understand that different people have very different experiences with the same company, possibly because of different staff or different franchises in some cases. I haven't generally had any problems with delivery companies in recent years, Royal Mail have also been good, just my negative experience with Parcelforce.
The first time I had a delivery from DHL, the driver was very polite, got me to sign for the parcel and chatted happily away whilst waiting. He also offered to carry the parcels from the main entrance of the block into my flat, which is a short distance, but was appreciated. I thought everything was efficient, the sender had used a 48 hour delivery service, and I was able to see by tracking when the order had been sent for delivery, so I had a rough estimate of when it would arrive.
By the third time I had a delivery with DHL, it was the same driver, and he politely asked if he might be able to deliver at around 8 in the morning in future, as I was near to the depot and he could then drop my parcels (which were a bit bulky) off. I agreed to this, it was convenient to know when the parcels were delivered, and I was happy it was useful for both parties. Thereafter, the driver loyally arrived spot on time, so that there was minimal hassle.
On one occasion I wasn't able to be in for the delivery, and it was I understand a different driver. I could see they had tried to deliver from the failed tracking. I tried to phone the Norwich depot but didn't have a four digit code that I needed, as this was on the failed delivery card they'd left, so I sent them an e-mail asking if they could possibly deliver the next day, not sure if they'd reply.
The depot responded within around an hour saying that they could of course deliver the next-day, or if I wanted, if I e-mailed them back to confirm, they'd be able to send the items back out that evening. I thought this was superb customer service, far beyond what I'd expected.
In summary therefore, I was always very pleased with DHL. The driver was polite and friendly, and I found the service really efficient. I never had any breakages or losses, and I was always really pleased with the service.
The only negative comment I'd say is that some couriers now are able to provide a more accurate estimated time of arrival, even if just "morning" or "afternoon". In my case, the driver delivered to my at a similar time, but otherwise I might have had to wait in. Hopefully in future their on-line tracking might be able to give a bit more accurate delivery estimate time.
Overall therefore, from my experiences of DHL, they were really helpful. It could just be that I got lucky with the local driver, but I was never let down by the service.
I've been greatly let down. DHL has terrible communication, no notification that parcel arrived, i had to chase it up myself. When i tried to arrange re-delivery, wrong information was given. so despite paying money to have my passport delivered in 5 working days, 8 days later, i still dont have my parcel and they don't do Saturday delivery. It's appalling service glossed over by good but unhelpful telephone service. I ewill never use again, unless it is something n on urgent and i dont mind losing. do not ignore the negeative reviews which is what i did. What frightens me is i ignored the fact that when i used them to send a parcel, their agent wrote the wrong details on my delivery slip but luckjily the parcel got where it needed to get but i was not so lucky on the return, i still don't have my documents,
I have many clothing stores in new york i was exapcting EXPEASS packages from DHL drivers allways lies, thy put a note "Delivery attempted - consignee premises closed", is not true we opan 9am-7pm the time the driver put the note was 6;10pm, allmost every EXPEASS package i got from DHL IS LATE 2-3 DAYS, i will never usae DHL Again!!!! NEVER DELIVER IN TIME!
===A little bit about DHL===
DHL is a courier company that offers various services - parcel/document express delivery, freight, warehousing and distribution, supply chain solutions, and international mail solutions. These services cover an impressive 220 countries and territories and if you use the website you can see exactly where you can deliver to and how much this will cost/how long it will take. There is also a tracking service on their website to follow your package.
I did not specifically choose to use DHL , this was just the company that the interrail company used that I purchased my ticket with. As interrail is so huge I would have expected them to have chosen a very reputable and reliable delivery company - how wrong I was!
On first impressions I was quite impressed with how many countries DHL deliver to. I was in Finland at the time in Rovaniemi so ordered for it to be delivered to my flat there. When filling in the shipping details I was asked for the latest full day I would be able to sign for my package before departure - I thought that this was incredibly important as I would not want to miss my package as I did not have a great deal of time before leaving the country.
There were a few delivery options - budget shipping that was free (but the dates with this were not suitable for me), standard shipping (which is what I used) at a price of £6 or premium shipping at £19.
After purchasing my interrail ticket and having paid for my ticket I was looking forward to my purchase turning up within the next week and a half or so. Having also been given a tracking number, I logged into this service on their website to track down my ticket which seemed to have moved swiftly from Ireland to Finland in just a few short days. After a few days I checked in again to find that my parcel was in Oulu - which was just 2-3 hours south of where I was staying. Having checked again the next day it appeared to still be in Oulu which concerned me as by now I had very little time before I was due to leave the Country with my interrail that had still not arrived! I rang the helpline to ask about where my package was as I was leaving within the next couple of days. I was informed that because I was not in when they had tried to deliver they had sent my package back to Oulu, and by this time it was too late to have it redelivered. I was going to Oulu anyway as the first stop in my journey so though I could just collect in then with the expectation that DHL would reimburse me. After all they weren't decent enough to have notified me that they had tried to delivered, surely they would make up for this?
So I left for my travels all excited and desperately wanting to get my hands on that ticket! After checking into my hotel the first thing my friend and I did was to get to the warehouse in Oulu where our tickets were. This was quite far outside of the city centre meaning that we had to get a taxi which gave us extra expenses on top of the travel to Oulu that should have been covered by our interrail tickets. At this point I was already pretty annoyed that I was paying all this extra money when it would have been avoidable had I been notified that they could not get into my building to deliver. They were in possession of my email address so they did have a (free) way of contacting me but chose not to. Anyway back to the point...
I arrived arrived at the warehouse desperate for my ticket only to be told that in fact my ticket was now in my postbox of the flat that I no longer lived in...brilliant! To say I was fuming would be a huge understatement. This was delivered past the date I said I was available to sign for it so why deliver it then? A member of staff informed me of this very calmly which annoyed me just that little bit more. I told him that it being in my postbox of somewhere I no longer lived was completely useless to me so what was he going to do about it, because I needed my ticket and I needed it quick! Although I don't think I said it quite this politely...I was pretty angry. He suggested that DHL could go back and try to scrape it out of my postbox which I laughed at. I told him that he needed to get hold of the owners of the block of flats to get my postbox open and get it back down to Oulu for us to collect the next day. I have to admit I was very impressed with him. Although I must have been an absolutely awful customer (even though none of what had happened was his fault) he was extremely helpful and did manage to get our tickets for us the next day and rang us to let them know that they were now at the warehouse.
So we finally had our tickets!! However I was still pretty fed up and decided to complain to DHL about my experience with them.
===How effectively do they deal with complaints===
In a word - inadequately! I wrote a somewhat lengthy email to DHL (in the UK) to receive a response that while they were very sorry, they could not deal with my complaint as my experience was with DHL in Finland. I asked the lady if she would kindly forward my complaint onto the Finnish company which she did, yet I received no response within weeks. I wrote back to her saying I was disgusting I had not yet received a response from the Finnish side so please could I have the email for customer service over there - which she would not give me. She instead said that it was internal information that she could not give to me (I'm not sure why - it was only an email address), that I needed to ring their helpline in Finland. I did not do this, I had already wasted about £60 in retrieving my ticket, I certainly wasn't going to waste more on expensive international calls. Instead I emailed the man who had been very helpful in Oulu who actually did give me the email address for the Finnish complaints (he really was a terrific member of staff).
I finally managed to email the correct people in Finland only to gain an incredibly unsatisfactory response. They blamed the incorrect tracking on me ringing the wrong Country, which I think is partially understandable but at the same time I think a large company should surely communicate through all of its departments to avoid giving out incorrect information? They said that they could not notify me of the first time they delivered, even though they had my email address and the only fault they did admit to was delivering again after the date I said I would be available. They did not offer to reimburse any of my extra expenses and even had the audacity to finish their response with 'I hope you have not lost faith in using our service and would use it again'. As if.
===Would I recommend them?===
No. Never. I had an awful experience using them, and while this could have been a one off I somehow doubt it. I ended up wasting a lot of money because of their incompetence and would never choose to use them again

Keep laying and with careless staff, keep saying tomorrow tomorrow because Delivery attempted; recipient not home. They are really a big layers.
I live in a fairly remote location where our house shares the postcode with a number of others over a wide area. It is also down a steep narrow track. However, the DHL courier found us, after asking at the nearby village post office, and walked a couple of hundred yards with our parcel down the track to deliver it. I have no complaints about their service based on this experience. 5 star.
I ordered plumbing supplies from an online company who use DHL. I am having work done on my house and the builders are there all day, which is completely fine for all other couriers but not DHL.
DHL refused to deliver to anyone but the home owner. As I am not there during the day that is impossible. DHL's phone service is automated. So you can get a redelivery, but what's the point if they wont hand over the goods! You can't speak to a person. They have no local branch to collect from - only something 20 miles away that I can't get to during the day.
I have tried email to get redelivered to another address... so far I have just had an automated email - so I don't know if that will work.

I used DHL through parcel2go, they were the cheapest for next day delivery. However, they did not collect on the day they were meant to, with no reason given atall. I then received an email from parcel2go, saying that the parcel had not been collected, but you cannot register it as uncollected until after 5.30pm. By which time, the phones and live response online is closed... So my only option was to email trying to register the parcel as failed pick up. They did not respond for a further 24 hours, and could not collect the parcel till the following day after that. So have now waited 3 days for a parcel to be picked up which I paid alot of money to receive next day delivery!! NO explanation of why, and no offer of a refund. SHOCKING. DO NOT USE DHL!!
same story. this has now happened to me THREE TIMES. No knock or ring, no card, no delivery, no answer to their phone. This is only DHL does thisk the other companies manage to deliver and redeliver. The last time it happened I arranged a redelivery (after freaking out on the phone) and left the door open and shouted out when we saw the van. When we confronted the courier, he claimed HE DID NOT SEE THE DOORBELL (IN FRONT OF HIS FACE, WITH A NOTE SAYING "TO ALL DELIVERIES PLEASE RING WE ARE IN") . We asked him why he did not leave a card he just shrugged and walked away.
I wish suppliers would not use DHL. I have just lost 2 important shipments to DHL, I will never receive them now as the need for them is over; i replaced the items that were to have been delivered. The supplier will have to deal with it.

I paid for next day delivery and when I tracked the parcel, they said that there was no one at home and they left a note. BULLSH*T!!!!!! I was at home the whole day and there was NO note!!! They are clearly a rogue company!!
I checked up my parcel on their tracking, and it said that they had attempted to deliver the parcel on Friday whist i and other members of my family were at home. Excuse me but none of us heard a ring or a knock at the door, no card was left either. Same thing happened again today, Monday. Do DHL workers even know how to get out of their van and press a freaking doorbell? I live in a flat 12 stories high, so use of the intercom is needed. Unless the delivery men have some serious problems, they should be able to figure out how to press two numbers to get into the block. I seriously think that the delivery men/women are so lazy and un-reliable that no business should opt for them. I swear it will ruin a business reputation. Oh I upgraded my contract and its a phone that I am waiting for. ON CONTRACT. They better not take money for something i'm not even using yet!!!
If they don't have anything to deliver, we don't have to suffer. Please, for the sake of your customers, use another delivery service.
I have used DHL 3 times now and I must say I'm really pleased.I had a parcel picked up in Glasgow yesterday evening and it reached Casablanca this morning.You cant better that. Many thanks.
hi ordered my pkg on the 12/12/10after so many times ringing and them fobbing me off with all resons for non delivery and rude customer services i have still not received my pkg it is now 17/01/11 being promised at the start it would only be a few days DHL SUCKS NO WONDER THEY ARE GOING DOWN THE PAN!!!!!!!
I attempted to purchase goods from BestBuy UK. Unfortunately they use DHL as their courier.DHL claimed to have attempted delivery of my item on 7 separate occasions and on 4 of those dates they claim to have left a card. I am registered disabled and indoors all day and all night. No sign of their van = No attempted delivery = No cards put through my door = they lie and lie repeatedly.Where do I live? On the 18th floor of a block of flats? Up a mountain in the middle of nowhere? NO. I live in a victorian house, on a main road, in the centre of London. How can they not locate my address? Are their drivers blind, stupid or just too lazy to do their job?
