DHL

Absolute rubbish. I live in a flat and DHL wont leave a card at flats - though I did not know this as I'm not a mind-reader. Besides which, there was someone home all day both times they say that deilvery was attempted. Despite calling twice and emailing twice to arrange re-delivery to a more convenient address I still haven't received my parcel (7 days after the next day deliver was due). Their service is a joke - would not use them, or the website I purchased from, again because of this experience.

I have just switched to DHL last week since the Royal Mail strikes took place and found them to be a good courier service. The service was fantastic by DHL and I found out they offer cheaper prices than other couriers. The only downside is they start work at 9 every day which means they do delivery less parcels each day than other couriers. You can arrange for your parcel to be picked up online. What can I say - outstanding! I switched to these guys from TNT, because they are less expensive. Unfortunately they do not have a before 9 service, but I have nothing but praise for their before 10am. The driver is polite, courteous, punctual, well dressed and smart. He arrives usually before 9am (which is lucky). He rings my bell, always asks me how I am and we have two minutes of idle chit chat while I receive my goods. He is always smiling. What a refreshing change to the norm, and I have had virtually every delivery company over the years. Service is everything to me, and to have a polite driver really does make the difference. Terrible!!! I had garuntee 2-3 day delivery I did this on Sunday so that I would for sure have it before the weekend came around.

Did that happen ? NO. By friday it said it had arrived in my city at 5am. SOMEHOW I didn't get it until Monday the next week.

When I called to see if they could get it to me Friday - I told them it was already late and I didn't want to wait till Monday but the lady told me it was just on time - I think i know what I paid $55 in shipping for lady.


Will never count on this company again.. --- DO NOT USE THEM IF YOU NEED YOUR DELIVERY ON TIME

I've used dhl a lot of times and always had a positive experience. I've got a local driver who tries to come at the same time to collect parcels so I know I don't have to stay in all the time - this is great service! Also I've never had anything break or go missing. I once even sent a glass light fitting which arrived promptly and in perfect condition. On a rare ocassion when they had to cancel a collection I received an email and the rebooked collection was promptly made on time the next day.
