Having ordered an item with next day delivery from DHL i expected them to deliver as i have never had any issues with them in the past. Today i wasted an entire day waiting for delivery i contacted the retailer and they told me that i was sent tracking details. I didn't receive any and i managed to obtain the ident code and tracked the item myself and noticed the driver was awol lol.
The system stated that the driver/consignment "Cannot Be Reached" lol where did this driver go to another dimension or planet ? with all the satellite communications you'd think they'd be able to track the vehicle unless for some unfortunate reason the totaled the vehicle.
I'm still awaiting a reply and the parcel both are awol and the retailers cant do anything because "am i bothered" attitude pervades the courier sector. Shity Link has a companion.
Today 06/08/08 i still have no reply from DHL and the item is still in the "Cannot Be Reached" state. Are we living in the 21st century or the 18th ? its ridiculous to say the least the retailer "Camerabox.co.uk" is just as culpable with the "am i bothered" attitude even they don't seem to investigate.
When you have an inept retailer and an inept courier then you are doomed. Where has all the customer support people gone ? nowadays it feels more like a "smash and grab" ethos. Watch out for the "we are customer focused" blurb when you see this you know its fake. Muppet's leading imbeciles driving morons thats the recipe of retailer management/customer service/couriers nowadays. This sector needs a shake up and some fines by the government for inadequate service maybe then we will see some accountability.
I spoke with another customer service member and she stated that the driver couldn't find the address ? lol i thought DHL vans were equipped with Satnavs ? i have never heard this excuse since living in the property for near a decade. Why do drivers use lame excuses to hide the fact that they weren't "bothered" or noticed the rush hour traffic during the morning and afternoon and decided not to "bother".
Having paid for nextday delivery and you get it in 2 or 3 days is inexcusable. If you can't do the job them i suggest you look for another job more suited to your abilities that goes for managers, customer services and drivers in both retail and courier services. You are selling products and providing a service yet we get neither.
Summary: Poor customer service, poor courier service, where is the accountability ?
