I never imagined finding the right driving school would be so hard. I remember my first driving school was with a instructor who made me nervouse all the time whilst I was in the car and even up to this day 1 year ago, I still feel nervouse everytime I get into the car.
All he would do is shout at me and expect me to learn everything straight away. He made me a nervouse reck. Its only now I can learn to drive confidently, now that I finally have a good instructor.

It was my second instructor that made me think about driving schools in general. He was the ideal instructor, funny, chatty, very patient and understanding. He seemed perfect and I was learning quickly he never shouted and every week I would hand over my twenty pounds to him after a great lesson. However after 3 months of taking my lessons with him, I felt extreamly confident about taking my practical test and I asked him what he thought. He said I could take it but I would have to wait six weeks. I thought that would be fine and plus it would give me all the extra practise that I need. During these weeks he turned sour he was horrible to me every little mistake that I made was blown out of proportion and he started acting as if I had only just started my lessons, telling me about things I already knew! Before I even mentioned that I wanted to go for my test he was perfect and according to him I was a excellent driver!
I think the worst insult was when It was time for me to take my test which I had waited for for so long he did not turn up! He just did not arrive at all. All my money waisted and there was nothing I could do.

So I have to start all over again finding the right instructor. I think driving schools in general have a lot to answer for not only that, the next time you ask your driving instructor about your test see if his or her attitude changes.

Driving instructors and bogus driving schools are all over the place watch out for them.

Don't let them put you off, you'll find the right one in the end. :o) And, you'll only need a couple of lessons as you've got the worst of it out of the way.

A warm welcome to dooyoo, the best advice I can give is to read lots, don't forget to rate and/or comment too so people know you're reading their ops, you'll pick up writing tips, they'll read your opinions as they know you're here and the site'll be much more fun for you. :o)

Let me know if you want any help on the site.

It obviously pays to go to the big names of the well established schools or go on recommendation.
