The first flight I ever experienced was a seven year old going to visit some relatives in Germany.

I did like flying more when I was a child because it was exciting, and unlike my sister I never got really bad earache. However, since then I've become a lot more wary of things, probably because of the news etc.! Luckily I've never had a really really bad flight, some turbulence, but generally it's been okay.

I've flown to quite a few places including America, Western and Eastern Europe and Africa, but the best part is definitely landing. Sometimes I find it difficult to grasp that flights are actually 'real' as everything out of the window looks so tiny and if it's from a film or something!

Take off is my least favourite part, other than landing with the bump! I always make sure I've got something to read for that part.

My worst flying experience is definitely the food! It's disgusting and when you're flying budget and end up paying for it at crazy prices because you're so hungry it's even worse!

One time when we were flying to Germany we got invited into the cockpit and it was interesting asking the pilots questions and seeing what it was like from the driving seat with all the controls and lights and stuff.

I do prefer travelling by trains and boats to planes. If I'm flying I much prefer shorthaul despite the films and games etc. of longhaul.

Obviously it's really bad for the environment, but it's not too expensive if booked in advance and is very fast.
