PERSONAL NOTES I passed my driving test first go when I was 17 years old. Ever since then, I have only ever had one non-Ford car. This makes me sound like a rich-snob, but in actual fact, my dad works for the Ford Motor Co. in Liverpool. He is allowed to have two company cars... One for himself and one for me and my mum to share. The only non-Ford vehicle I had was a Landrover Freelander (the company is still owned by Fords though). I must admit that this was not my favourite car as I thought it handled like a tractor or other farm vehicle, and that I have gone back to the Ford models. I purchased a Ka this time last year. This was my first own car as the rest of the time I had been driving my parents cars. As it was my first car to buy, I was a fore front of heavy sales pressure. As I was looking around the cars, I had a sales person come up to me and tryed to sale me a car, but I had a good idea what I wanted. For some reason, they wanted me to go for a feista, yet i new that it is more expensive to run and insure, although it is cheaper to buy. As I only was looking at a KA, they went out there way to find me a second hand one that was in good condition. There is always loads of bad publicity around about Ford. "Always going wrong they are. You wouldnt get me in a Ford" say most people. Yet if this is the case, how come they are by far the most common car on the road? I tell you why. They fit most peoples budget, they are cheap to run and they are easy to fix. Also, there is normally a vehicle in their range to fit with most people's requirements. They began with humble beginnings in America as just another automobile manufacturer.
