When ever you go to a garage take somebody with you. Ideally take somebody who has a bit of knowledge with cars. There are good garages out there but in my experience of using garages they do over charge a lot of money when it comes to sorting out only the smallest problems with cars.

Which garages to use?
Use a local one and check prices around take your car around as some places offer cheap prices. Also ask if you can stay there and watch them if you are unsure if they can sort the problem out. The best ones to use are local ones as they will offer better prices.

Price problem?
When they offer a price to you always cut it down. Tell them you can not afford it and somebody else has offered to do it lower for you. This has worked for me in the past and they have cut down the prices.

Mot Service
When taking your car for a MOT service this can be horrible. They will show faults which you will not even know about. Make sure the faults are actually there as some of the lie. It has happened to me with the biggest garages with their mechanics wanting more cash they can lie.

You just really need to take somebody who is good with cars when coming here. Garages take too much money these days when it comes to fixing cars.

Summary: Garages
