Newest Review: ... up on me. Another told my I was not on the M25 (I was). I had to walk to the SOS phone box and phone the POLICE!!! who then organised my rescue. The person that finally came out to rescue me was rude and spoke to me like i was an idiot, he told me i was stupid for letting the mat slide under the accelerator without even testing if that was the problem. I tested it in-front of him and the car still did not work. He towed my back to his garage and told my i would have to wait 4 hours for his driver to get up and have breakfast before he would tow me home at a cost of £500. The man who drove me home was txting all the way. No real attempt ... more

I joined Green Flag 2 years ago. I took the full breakdown package, £100 pa paid monthly. Thank fully we have never had to use the service. We have just bought a new car which has breakdown cover as part of the package.so I rang to cancel. I was told that in order to cancel I have to pay 50% of the annual premium.Do not buy this cover unless you have money to waste

I was left stranded on the 100s of miles from home on the M25 for 7 hours! I was left sitting outside the car the whole time, I was ill from breathing in traffic fumes. I phoned them back so many times that my phone died, each time they where rude and dismissive, one person even hung up on me. Another told my I was not on the M25 (I was). IF YOU WANT TO BE A LONELY STRANDED FEMALE THEN THIS IS THE COMPANY FOR YOU!! This is the first compaint review I have ever left, but I am so dismayed, I felt it had to be left. Telephone operator at Green Flag basically couldn't give a damm as to my ... Read the complete review

I got my breakdown cover from Green Flag last year after getting fed up with the AA over quoting me every year. So I shopped around and found that I could get the same cover at a much better price with Green Flag than the AA and the RAC. I must point out that its not exactly the same cover, for about £70 I got a 'home, roadside and onward travel' type package compared with over £100 with the others but with Green Flag it is my car that is covered not me personally as it would be with the others. Which is fine by me, anyone I get in a car for a significant journey with has their own breakdown cover and if I'm getting a short lift with someone who hasn't and their car .. I subscribe to Green Flag through Direct Line. After many years with RAC, I decided to give Direct Line a go, on the recommendation of others. Direct Line actually provide the service through Green Flag, who in turn don't actually have many of their own patrols, but instead subcontract out to local authorised garages who work on behalf of Green Flag. First, the price. Green Flag were a full £40 cheaper for a years cover for both mine and my partners car, for the same level of service that RAC/AA offer. Not only that, but becuase I bought through Direct Line, who I have my motor insurance with, I got a discount on the Green Flag rates. Which means ... Read the complete review
