Advantages: lots if you like a fight
Disadvantages: all the inconvenience, the denial and aggrevation if you don't like a fight, lost time & money
Mount Garage in Halifax sold me my £15,000 ?brand new? 04 car yet when I got the log book I was down as the 2nd registered keeper? 3 months of problem after problem with the car AND Mount garage, imagine the shock I had when I learned that the car was actually registered 2 years ago in Spain! and that the full ?PEACE OF MIND? 2 year manufacturer?s warranty, actually only had 10 weeks left. To add injury to insult Mount garage are still denying the vehicle was pre-registered even though I have supplied West Yorkshire Trading Standards with the V5 documentation to prove the facts, it has their name on! They are also saying that the vehicle was not registered in Spain, this is a misunderstanding. The warranty has now run out, I have had this in writing from the manufacturer yet the garage say it has not, they are even pretending to have supplied me with a further warranty, of which I have no knowledge or paperwork of. It?s good we have West Yorkshire Trading Standards Service to advise us on such issues, don?t be afraid to use them, they are in the phone book. It was the car?s main dealer that recommended I tried WYTSS. Since buying the car earlier this year, it has broken down no less than 6 times. OK, so the garage don?t build these cars so, yes, this could happen to anyone, (I suppose) but they did cover up the details of the warranty and omit to inform me or supply me with any details of the free AA assistance I was supposed to have with the car until I went into a rage after being stranded with my 2 children, for the 4th time in 3 months. I learned of the AA cover by chance on one of the occasions that the car broke down, I was stuck/sat in the car, reminiscing about the trusty £3000 car I had owned before and how reliable it was, I decided to ring the garage to tell them I was going to have to return the car for a refund, (which apparently you are well within your rights to do, if the car has had so many faults within the firs
t 3 months) the receptionist told me I was supposed to have a card or a pack about AA assistance, I didn?t have either and so she gave me the telephone number for the AA. Upon ringing the AA they told me it was the wrong number for the car and so I had to ring the garage for the right number, when they finally got me it, I rang the number only to be told they had no record of my car?s registration and so could not help me, the AA telephonist went on to ask me if I had a credit card to hand and offered me the opportunity of joining the AA? Aaaagggh! My sister ended up rescuing me with her trusty 10 year old run around and my next door neighbours jump leads. I might add, this 5 hour breakdown (mine and the car?s) was in the forecourt of a petrol station, the car was blocking the only petrol pump working and I was using my mobile phone (dangerous I know) with 2 kids (being quite civil) compared to my red rage, I couldn?t allow anyone to help move it out of the way because the last time it broke down, someone helped push it out of the way and their hands pushed the bodywork in, the ?new? car now has a big dent in the boot (estimated £200 to pop it back out) I couldn?t just leave it there because the area was not so good and the electric windows had also just packed in and they were fully open. ?Apparently the receptionist at Mount forgot to inform the car sales man of my exact description of him but coincidentally within a week I got a welcome pack from the AA saying thank you for your recent enquiry about joining the AA and thank you for your full joining fee etc and so on? Mount garage had done this to cover their tracks, the supposed AA cover was also due to run out very shortly. You could say this is simply just bad after care but it is more than that, they have mis-sold me a vehicle by saying it had all the things I wanted and lied about the actual facts. They have also invalidated the anti corrosion warranty by respraying parts of the
car. Within these last 6 months, I have spent days and hours sat in the waiting area of the main dealer whilst they sort out problems with the car, the sales men at this garage say things like, ?you still here? you here again?? I have got better things to do and only wish I didn?t have to spend most of my days off work sat there, week in week out. The car has had to have a new computer fitted as the car had been ?a danger to drive? all the while I have been driving around in it, the brakes could have failed at any time, the main dealer refused to allow it go back out until roadworthy, which took over 1 week. In response to all of my complaints Mount garage said I had saved several thousand pounds on the car?s uk equivalent, which, 1. Is a further contradiction to the salesman?s sales patter ?they are all uk cars? and 2. Confirms they knew it was an import but 3. ?like it makes all of their lies and mis-leading bulls*it ok! What really annoys me further is the fact that it was only £2k cheaper not several thousand but it actually would have been cheaper for me to have bought the same car but genuinely BRAND NEW from the main dealer, with a genuine uk first registration, genuine 3 years AA cover and genuine 3 years peace of mind full warranty. All that has got to be worth more than £2k? MOUNT GARAGE ARE LIARS DON?T GIVE THEM YOUR HARD EARNED CASH OR YOU MAY BE SORRY and by the way they also claim to ?strive on the highest standards in customer care and attention!? DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THESE WOLVES IN ANORAKS

picky - 03/11/06 I feel that ,this particular comments is not useful at all due to the fact that ,car sellers DO NOT MAKE cars, they only sell them, and faults occurs on any vehicle.
I have visited Mount Automotive Solutions Serveral times and had an excellent service from them. I was fully satisfied with their service. |
