Disadvantages: They don't deliver your parcel, They lie about it, They take it to a depot in Stoke

I ordered some hair straighteners from an internet supplier on Tuesday and was told that they would be delivered on Friday some time between 9am-5pm. My dad waited in all day (although he probably would have anyway, they weren’t to know that!) then phoned me at about 3pm as he was worried they hadn’t arrived. About 10 minutes later I got an email from the supplier informing me that the couriers had tried to deliver my parcel at 10.41am but no one had been in so they would try again on Monday.

It seems pretty obvious that they have not made any attempt to deliver the parcel at all – they did not even leave a card although they claim to have done. When I was searching on the internet to find out where City Link’s depot was, this was the first website that came up, which is when I started to get a bit worried… No doubt I will either have to go up to Stoke and pick it up or hopefully they will just send it back to the supplier who might just be able to use Royal Mail – at least then if you’re not in it just goes to the local post office rather than disappearing into the ether! What is the point of a courier company who doesn’t deliver things? It seems like they just keep things in their depot for a few days then send them back!
