Appalling service - drivers appear to be a law unto themselves (Initial City Link)

Disadvantages: unless you're home all day every day go elsewhere

Appalling. Paid for a Saturday delivery. Was told that these started at 9 am. Got up at 7:45 to find the dreaded card on the mat. Phoned to ask what was going on and was told driver would call back before 12. Waited 4 hours and rang again. Was told they were closed and driver wasn't coming back. Driver had entered attempted delivery time as 09:00 to cover himself.
Asked for delivery after 5pm on Monday, left work early. Got home to find the dreaded card again. No indication of when they called.
Rearranged delivery to following Saturday. Couldn't get anyone to tell me what the earliest delivery time might be. Do I have to wait up all night ?
Offered to ensure delivery wouldn't be before 8am. Driver turned up at 7:40 - good job I didn't believe them.
Will never use them again or buy from anyone who does. How do they stay in business ?
