Advantages: Gives you plenty of practice using the telephone

Disadvantages: Everything

City link are the most incompetent, uncaring company I have ever had to use. Firstly, they must use stealth ninjas to drop off their cards because I have sat in silence waiting, hearing people having conversations outside and mice under the floorboards having a tea party and got up to find a card sitting there - perhaps telekinesis is involved. I would love to be able to confirm whether they do use either stealth ninjas or supernatural powers, but I'm afraid I have to let you down as I cannot get through to ask them.

They seem to be pre disposed to making everything as difficult as possible as well. Not only do they not actually deliver the parcels, they will not redeliver to a new address without a special sanction from God himself and heaven help you if you need to collect. The automated line directs you to a depot that is closed except for one hour during the day except for days containing a z on the equinox during an eclipse. Finding them is also a nightmare, their depots are in the middle of nowhere, you'd have more luck getting into the wardrobe and trying to get to Narnia.

I have never encountered such rude drivers or customer service either. They would tell you that the sky was neon pink just to disagree with you. They are completely disinterested and the number of disconnections I have experienced indicates that they would be better hiring the typhoo monkeys to answer the phones - possibly they agree because everything is automated now, which gives you the wrong information and cuts you off as well when you ask to speak to someone.

If you do have the luck of having something actually delivered it often looks as though they have tied it behind the van and dragged it there rather than put it in the van. Most of the things I have received from them have had to go back.

Overall, hardly a company you would think someone like John Lewis or House of Fraser would use. I am another person who would rather not use any company that use city link. I actually almost broke down weeping when I realized a mobile phone was coming from them. Surely enough, I still haven't received it, perhaps they could give it to one of the drivers who seems unable to find anywhere, they probably need a sat nav to get home at night.

And breath...

Summary: Bunch of useless halfwits
