I have glanced at a few reviews on Dooyoo which talk about Initial City Link and it seems like nearly all of them reflect negatively on this well known courier firm. I mentioned a while ago now in a previous review that I work for a small family printing firm which produces graphics and displays for exhibitions and as you would expect we have to use couriers to despatch these all over the UK and beyond.

For a number of years we use to have a City Link driver call at our premises every day between the hours of four and five and he would take our packages and parcels to the local depot to be despatched all over the country over night and in to the next day. We no longer use them but instead use either a firm called CSM or TNT and we decided to do this purely if I remember correctly because the regular driver who called at our place was a bit objectionable and had a history I think of rubbing people up the wrong way. This was a shame as many of the other drivers who came from this company from time to time were very pleasant, friendly and jovial individuals. Personally using couriers daily during the week as I do I don't feel that Initial City Link make any more mistakes than others, I think that they all seem to mess deliveries up on occasion and when you give them a parcel you are never completely confident it will get there in one piece, if at all.

I always found the customer service advisors helpful whether I wanted a quote for an unusual or oversized package or I needed to trace the location and whereabouts of a late parcel. Another great option about them was that we could request a late courier and at no extra charge a chap would collect from us again at about six thirty which was fantastic especially if we had had a really busy day and couldn't get everything finished by five. This is a service that other firms seem to want to charge for or are just reluctant to do it at all. From experience I would say they are a fairly reliable company to trust and are no worse than any other courier firms who operate in this field today.
