I can understand someone making a delivery and nobody was at home. Then you have 2 other options: leave the parcel with a neighbor or leave a note saying that you came in. Last year, the drivers "came" 3 times and forgot to leave a note or couldn't find any neighbors, even tough, most of the times that they say they came it was someone on the actual address. The parcel was send back to London. The company in London phone me back to ask me why I didn't receive my parcel. I explained the situation. Eventually, they send back the parcel through City Link. Twice again they say that they came to the house and leave a note. According to them I should have at least 5 notes of their failed delivery. I acknowledge that some of those times I was out, and so was my wife but no note came through the door, neither it was leave with any of the neighbors. They were adamant that they left a note. So, for the company in London, either, I was lying or they were lying. I was furious, because, indirectly, these people of City Link they were calling me a liar.
Eventually I have to drive 45 minutes to Cwmbran to pick up the parcel before they send it back to London. Incompetent? or just liars?
Last week I had exactly the same problem. Again twice they say they came. Twice we were in the house, and still none knocking on the door and none leave notes. The only change this time is that the office in Cwmbran has closed and the delivery comes from Cardiff. I wonder, do they use the same delivery people? I suppose I will have to drive to Cardiff this time. The person on the phone was helpful enough but I don't trust they drivers/delivery people.
Lets just hope...
