Being a seasoned purchaser of products from the web 4+ yrs, the only problems I have ever had with delivery are when CityLink become involved!

True Story 1
Ordered a minibar from an internet company (To be called Company X) who dispatched it promptly, only it never turned up - I gave them a week for it to appear then phoned Company X.. hmm very strange sir, it was picked up from our depot a week ago - we will phone CityLink and find out what has happened.. few minutes later Company X phone back. Seems like its disappeared sir... yep obviously the driver thought it was a nice minibar and stole it on route. Company X very apologetic but unfortunately they couldnt get me another one, so never did get my minibar :(

True Story 2
Ordered a minidisk player for my girlfriend for Xmas... it didnt turn up in the 2 day delivery scope, but unfortunately/fortunately I was off on holiday so couldnt chase it up. Wasnt to concerned after all one would assume that I would be carded and would be able to pick it up when I got back.... On my return sure enough I had two cards on my doormat, but something didnt feel right, like something was missing... phone up Mr CityLink, oh yes sir you can come and pick it up, you will need some identification.. so drive down to the depot all eager, signed for my package - very strange event as the guy looked shifty and photocopied my driving license.. which in all the years of dealing with deliveries I have never had my driving license copied before... and the guy only gets my package after I've signed! Package turns up with tape all over it, thought hmm strange but dont have time to check it as in a hurry. Arrive home and open it and guess what! Yep the package has been emptied of its minidisk player and instead had been filled with pebbles from my drive! Couldnt believe it... the obsolete cheeky of the *"*"*!! Slightly pissed off by it so phone the company I had bought it from and asked to speak di
rectly to a supervisor explained that it had been stolen and replaced with pebbles from my own drive!! Company very apologetic.. Seems like a case of fraud sir, we will keep you informed sir, and ship another minidisk to you straight away... this time I had it delivered to my work and it turned up fine. However I never did find out what happened, the company never did let me know what happened and after a few weeks of expecting the police to turn up, which they didnt I throw the bag away and cemented the stones to my drive!

Guess the guy wanted to listen to some tunes, whilst enjoying chilled drinks from my stolen minibar!! ;)

Other nice short story.. I order cat litter in bulk as its quite hard to find it and I can get it on the Internet and delivered to my door... I had paid more money for the extra weight surcharge... anyway CityLink bloke turns up and proceeds to moan at me about how heavy it is, we are talking no more than 20kg which is heavy but not exactly massively heavy.. then stands there for another 2 mins whinging whilst rolling up a ciggy.. like I'm supposed to care or something, we all have downsides to our jobs right!

Moral of the stories, dont trust a CityLink courier with anything and dont turn your back on one!!
