Advantages: Interesting, comprehensive coverage of shares and investments

Disadvantages: Price, Printed media perhaps not the best way to keep track of share information

I am not an investment banker and don't have a huge amount of cash to spread around on investments and stocks and shares but I still find the Investor's Chronicle and interesting and slightly addictive read.

Among the many features in the magazine is surely the most comprehensive share tip guide in a monthly publication - not only do they give buy and sell tips for a few select companies the magazine thinks you should know about but they also have a short assessment and opinion on pretty much every company on the London Stock Exchange that has published their results during the previous week. Their opinions seem to be sound and are a very good starting point when deciding which companies to look at investing in.

They are published by the same group behind the Financial Times so they have quite a pedigree. Also, I have to mention the website - it is very easy to use and has some really good articles and other investment tools.

I can only think of two slight problems - one is that even a title published weekly is still quite out of date in the world of finance by the time it is published and the second problem is the cover price - £3.75 a week would soon mount up in the long term.

Overall, though it is a hugely intresting and helpful read.

Summary: A great read if a little pricey.
