Advantages: Convenient

Disadvantages: Run by monkeys out to make a huge profit and boost their bonus

I had a taste of Kiwk Fit last week. The garage was not far from where I lived and at a time which was convenient. What a nightmare. All I needed was an MOT on my low mileage shining Black Bmw X5. They must have taken a dislike to my car from the start, it was possibly too clean and looked too good. Maybe they thought I could greatly improve their Christmas Bonus. I made the big mistake of asking the miserable dirty looking fitter at reception if it would be possible for the tester to be a little careful with dirty finger marks on the cream leather interior. That was a big mistake an instant failure. After an hour my car was returned but no paperwork. Another twenty minutes passed and I was told the paper work is now here. Your car has failed on two things mate. What things I asked. Well he said there is some sort of Air Freshener hanging from the rear view mirror obstructing the view through the windscreen. Great, why didn't he call me and I would have taken it off. It's not his job mate we want the extra £23 for the retest. They had to find something didn't they. There is one other thing the rear break pads on the left side need replacing they are a little thin. We can give you a quotation for new ones that come with a lifetime warranty. I took the car to Bmw and had the brakes tested. They worked fine. I had the pads replaced anyway for the retest. I had to wait another 2 days before they could fit me in for the retest. The car spent so long being retested I was sure that out of spite they were going to fail it again. Eventually I was told the car was ready and this time it had passed after handing over another £23. When I went to drive the car off the forecourt I found that the so-called MOT tester had deliberately wrenched the handbrake so tightly on that I was unable to release it. What was that in aid of? With spiteful people like that working on your car you wonder what else they did that will show up in a few months time. I will never use those cowboys again. Other countries use a far fairer system where the MOT is only carried out at government run centres , where the mechanics and testers have no gain for failing people. Still this is after all Rip Off Britain. Kwik fit go to the top of my Shit List

Summary: Once bitten twice shy.

What idiots! I can't see how they failed it on the air freshener, I used to have all sorts of things hanging from the mirror in my old AX and it never failed on that! (failed on other stuff though!)
