The other day I noticed that one of my tyres looked low on tread and as the car was not far away from having it's MOT I thought it best to get the tyre checked and it being a Sunday the garage I normally use was not open and the local Kwik Fit in town is really convenient as if there is a wait I would get some free parking and the chance to do some shopping.

Kwik Fit pride themselves on giving a fast service and specialise mainly on replacing tyres and exhausts however they can also carry out MOT' and services and deal with most car repairs. I have also used them in the past to sort out my air conditioning as at the time they had an offer that if they could not improve the efficiency by 10% you paid nothing, well on that job they improved the efficiency by about 100% so it was money well spent even if we hardly get any really hot weather any more just warmer winters.

The service on the tyres was actually really quick, there were quite a few in front of me but I had hardly had time to do a bit of clothes shopping (in Northampton there is not a lot to see) and settle down for a coffee in Costa when I got a call to say my tyre had been replaces and I also got told te likely life left in the other three which were all well within the legal limits.

Overall I'm pretty impressed with the service which is fast enough and the prices were reasonable, ertainly for such regular work they are a nice alternative to my normal garage.
