I had a puncture on a Sunday and since I needed my car for work on the Monday I took it to the local kwik fit. Thinking I just needed one tyre I was shocked to find out that I needed 3 tyres and a new front end exhaust. They quoted me £57.00 per tyre and £440.00 for the front part only of the exhaust - they told me the cat & manifold were part of the unit which was why it was so expensive.

I couldn't affort this so rang round for the exhaust prices and was quoted £180.00 and £200.00 fitted by two different companies. I was recommended to go to a local company by a colleague and when he looked at the car he said that it didn't need replaced and could be welded for £40.00!!!!!!!!! I also bought the tyres for £30.00 per tyre so kwik fit would have charged £611.00 for the work and I had everything done for £100.00.

I am angry and disgusted with the behaviour of such a large company - I knew they were expensive but this takes the biscuit!!
