Advantages: Speed of work
Disadvantages: Communication, cost, unhelpfulness
I originally had great things to say about Kwik Fit, now im not so sure.
I have used them for my car twice now, and initially things were great. I needed a repair, and they found things straight away, gave me a good price, were great with communication and got parts ordered and fixed in one afternoon. I was very happy. Nothing went wrong with what they put on and it was exactly what i needed (along with things i asked for).
The fact they chucked in a 20% off MOT & Service voucher after i paid was a bonus, as my service and MOT were coming up soon.
Just last week i put my car in to them for a Service & MOT. Again, things started great, they got back to me quickly and went through things with me well. This is where it all went wrong. They fitted and repaired what was necessary, but were incredibly unclear with what was needed and what was done.
Alarm bells were ringing.
They then informed me of a puncture. Not necessary for my MOT pass, i told them not to bother and id sort it in a couple of weeks. Looking at my invoice later, it turns out they changed my rear tyres anyway.
The cost really was quite high for everything, and my invoice was partly clear, partly a list of part numbers with no explanation as to what was done. The guys when i paid seemed very uninterested and were slow and fairly unhelpful. A vast contrast to my first visit.
My 20% discount voucher was also incorrectly applied.
Being as unhappy as i was, i sent a letter to head office, and to be fair, they called me within 2 days and are currently sorting something for me as a good gesture.
So a mixture of good and bad really. Good to begin with, but unhepfulness, high costs and things being so unclear has left a sour taste in my mouth. Their location is convenient, but i will look elsewhere next time.
Summary: Things started well but quickly went downhill.
