After having a wheel bearing changed and then the wheel coming away (whilst driving) after a bolt was either not put back or not done up properly I would avoid Kwik Fit!
Mine was done at Tewkesbury Road, Cheltenham - an article in the paper will explain more: http://tinyurl.com/ydoyaet
You can even laugh at the 'dave' guy in the comments who is obviously a Kwik Fit 'mechanic'. Nowhere has a driveshaft been mentioned and he brings it up.
Kwik Fit - no thanks!

'You will be amazed at what we do' is the watermark on kwik-fits invoice and they are 500% right in robbing you hundreds of £££'s. I have gone through this when I took my Honda Civic for a MOT and Full Service at the Hounslow branch of Kwik-fit. The price they quoted was a mere £179 (£35 for MOT) which I thought was cheap for the ... Read the complete review

We took our car to KWIK FIT to have a puncture repaired. A new lad was there, and he did our tyre. I could tell he was new because he kept asking one of the older men there if he had done something right, or what he should do next. It wasn't until the job was done that we saw the damage to the alloy wheel, which the man in charge said was already there. It was obvious from the lads shifty and uncomfortable behaviour that he was feeling guilty about something, but because the older man insisted that the damage was done previously, we realised there would be little use in pursuing the complaint.
We now use NATIONAL TYRES, a far more PROFESSIONAL COMPANY.

Kwick Fit Insurance are the worst Insurance company I have ever dealt with. I had an accident over a year ago and I am still waiting for compensation and the expenses they owe me. The unfortunate thing about them is the use the equally inept Albany assistance to handle their claims. When I first had my accident (where the third party drove in ... Read the complete review

I originally had great things to say about Kwik Fit, now im not so sure. I have used them for my car twice now, and initially things were great. I needed a repair, and they found things straight away, gave me a good price, were great with communication and got parts ordered and fixed in one afternoon. I was very happy. Nothing went ... I took my Xtype Jag to Kwik Fit in Paisley for an mot yesterday and got great service from the staff there. They seemed to be very diligent and did not try to upsell to hard for the work that had to be done. Not the most exiting review, but hope it helps.

Saved £150 by not using my local Kwik Fit for a slow puncture repair. Recently noticed a slow leak on my Nissan Qashqai's rear left wheel. As the local Kwik Fit is in a convenient location I popped in for a quote. I was told the tyre had a nail/screw in it and it needed to be replaced for £165 all in. Dubious of their assessment ... Went to my local kwik fit today for four new tyres for my car. They quoted the best price for the tyres that i wanted.(although not by much) When i arrived to drop off my car i was told by a friendly member of staff that he would phone me when tyres were fitted and that it shoudn't take long. Sure enough a short while later the car was ready for me to drive away. So all good then? No not really! The tyres were fitted fine but my immaculate pre kwik fit visit alloys had been damaged. All four of them! They also had the cheek to suggest that they may have been like that on arrival.I have lodged a complaint with them and needless to say will never use these cowboys again!! It's worth paying a little extra for professionals me thinks.

A most hilarious bunch of robdogs. For those of you who don't know their fitters wages are improved by the extras they sell.... Took car in for MOT as it was free with insurance. The car is a Honda S2000 which they happily referred to as the IS2, I200 etc etc. Received a phone call stating that the car had failed due to pitted rear ... Read the complete review

i have various encounters with kwik fit as sometime they do not do all types of repair and refer customers to myself ,I know that their staff are trained before being let loose on your car ,I beleive that some of these reviews are genuine but when I read some of the comments they appear to be bourne out of ignorance on the customer parts , I have ... I have just had my car MOT and Serviced at Kwick fit. SHOCKING SERVICE. First of all i had it cancelled 2 times by kwick fit, the second time I was pulling up outside when they rang to cancel. I booked the car in for 2 new tyres, to get the air con fixed and the MOT and service. When i arrived the 3rd time, they thought i was only there for a service!! Then I had to call them to find out how much it was going to cost- they said £735, were rude and pushy. I have since had the work done (minus the service) for £300. Would never go back- oh yea and they said to collect the car at 5pm- I sat there till 6pm, with a V.hungry 10 month old baby!!

I had no idea that Kwik-Fit were up-sell enthusiasts and assumed from the TV ads that they employed trained, knowledgeable people. However I took a car wheel with a slow puncture to the Merthyr Tydfil Kwik-Fit last week, to be told that it couldn't be fixed ("it's too close to the edge which means that the patch would have to curl round the ... The mot i had at melton mowbray kwit fit was the worst mot i have ever had, the staff were rude and unhelpfull! My car failed on a serious shock absorber fluid leak that wasn't even there!! I got 3 diffrent garages to have a look and there was no problem at all with it!! Clearly they don't have much work on so they are trying to rip people off with things that don't even need doing! Do not go!!!

have a Motability car and am unable to walk most of the time. Kwik-Fit have the contract to replace tyres on these vehicles. We had torrential rain in Blackpool so I drove into the garage, which I have done before with no problem. Well, I really do wonder how much their 'mechanics' actually know about cars. My cars exhaust system was fairly knackered and definately needed a new backbox because it was actually falling to pieces because it was so rusty. I took my car down to the Salisbury branch and asked them to stick it on the ramp and tell me what needed replacing. The ... Read the complete review

Like many women in their 20's I am always a bit apprehensive when I visit garages, especially since I drive a cheap old car so they could tell me anything was wrong with it and I have to believe them. But my experience at Kwik Fit was a great surprise. They were very friendly and when I told them that I thought my car was so old it may need to ... Read the complete review

I had a negative experience with Kwik-Fit in Doncaster. I went to the garage in search of an MOT, and despite there being no customer's in the shop (the staff clearly knew I was waiting as they actually walked right past me at various points) now I'm not totally unreasonable, I can appreciate they might have had other things to do?? But I was ... Read the complete review

You have to be lucky to see a trained mechanic, most of the times its just cow boys. I went into kwikfit for oil change, mechanic could not figure out the location of oil filter, finally replaced the oil filter with a wrong sized filter and had to open the oil sump three times as twice over filled the car with engine oil.
