Our experiences with Kwik-Fit South Ruislip Branch. A year ago my mother had 2 tyres changed, Result..2 nuts left off, others were lose. I had my MOT done there this year, I needed a light replacing over the rear number plate, Result..can no longer open my boot with the inside lever, have to use the key. My Daughter had two new tyres replaced this week, Result..one tyre flat within hours, phoned Kwik-Fit South Ruislip was told to drive the car in from Watford to South Ruislip.......WITH a flat tyre! We changed the tyre with the spare, no signs of a puncture but some white plastic sticking out of the rim. My daughter then took it to Kwik-Fit in Watford, they were honest enough to tell the truth......South Ruislip had put a plastic seat cover INSIDE the tyre!! Hense the tyre going flat within hours. I complained today, Result..Not Bothered

We booked in our car for a service and MOT, it was the vehicles first MOT since it was bought from new and after reading the reviews I was quite put off using Kwik Fit, as we had already paid we thought lets just get it done. The car has had numeorus dealership issues with its brakes and we knew with me having a dab hand at car ... Read the complete review

This is based on my recent visit to the Newtown (Powys) branch for a MoT and service. Arriving at my appointment around 5 minutes early I was greeted by a member of staff who promptly showed me to the reception and then took my car into the MoT bay, all of this done on time. The reception was clean and tidy as were ... Read the complete review

Kwik Fit, Tessa Road, Reading, UKTurned up at 10:25 for my 10:30 brake-check appointment. Chap at the desk said 'We're busy, but we might be able to fit you in at 11:30'. I said that was no good for me and he said 'In that case we will need to make another appointment'. I said 'What's the point in booking a time if you can't stick to it?'He said 'obviously we can't predict how busy we're going to be'. No smiles or apologies from the chap, just an imperious manner as he treated me with disdain. When I booked the appointment, there was no suggestion that the time couldn't be guaranteed, and as they took my phone number why didn't they phone me beforehand to say they were running behind? Perhaps Kwik Fit doesn't value my time, but I do. I won't be going back.

Same old story in the last 5/6 years -long waiting times or impossible to get your car in because they are 'too busy', it's too late at 11am,mostly because they are 'short of staff. They'll tell to "come back tomorrow at 8.30am" but by the time they've opened up they have to catch up on other cars left overnight, or ask you to leave you car for "a couple hours" which ends up all day. They never have the same staff, which makes you wonder why such high turnover - but it's no wonder as running with so little staff their mechanics probably can't cope in this shamble and move on.

I feel the need to write a review for kwikfit as i am aware that they have had quite a lot of bad publicity. This is a review for the garages (not kwikfit insurance as thats a different story, i have issues with them so they need a seperate review). Just wanted to write a quick review following my experience at Kwik Fit Bury St Edmunds. Now I know that Kwik Fit receives a lot of bad press, especially from those who work at private garages (wonder what their agenda is?). In my experience however, I can thoroughly recommend the company. The customer service was excellent. ... Read the complete review

Kwik-Fit, Rutherglen, Glasgow; An absolute disgrace.Kwik Fit , Customer Services Department; Just as bad.I had my car MOT'd last week at Kwik Fit, Rutherglen. It failed on 3 points, namely headlamp alignment, cv gator insecure and a corroded brake pipe. Being a police vehicle examiner and ex VOSA examiner there is no way that the brake pipe was an MOT fail. I did however replace it at a cost of £40.85 at my local garage to repair all the faults, kwik fit price £224. As the previous reviews, another example of preying on those they think are "mug" punters.Their customer services department are just as poor attempting to justify the branch's actions. Don't be tempted by a cheap MOT you will end up paying in the long run.I would urge everyone not to any Kwik-Fit as it does seem company policy to rip people off.

This cost me half an hour labour plus parts to sought it out.Should only use their prices as a guide and get work done else where.Change there name from Kwik Fit to Slap Dash.will never use them again

I have a loving and long-standing relationship with my Fiat Coupe.Kwikfit matched the best quote I had got for a 16V exhaust flexi-pipe with gskts (only 19 quid more than buying-in and DIY).They (2 guys) commenced work underneath for nearly an hour then QC inspected and invited me to view their work. The job also involved cutting off 6 bolts and a mntg. brkt. which they re-welded to the flange as per OE fit.Absolutely brilliant job and polite, impeccable service at a good, negotiated price!!!TIP- Treat people as you would expect them to treat you and you'll get on much better in life.

All these people moaning forget that an mot is only going to meet the minimum requirement. it doesn't always mean it is safe so they replace bits that require replacing for your safety. A tyre can pass an mot being completely bold on one edge. would you be happy driving round on this, I don't think so, and to be honest every MOT place has a different opinion.

Went to Kwik Fit, (Clacton On Sea, Essex branch) - Shocking. Should have walked out the minute I was referred to as "geezer". The guy who came out from the workshop was ill mannered, rude and very unhelpful. I left believing that A) They did not want the hassle on a Saturday and B) were just too lazy. Thankfully they did not have the bracket required in stock so there was no risk of letting these people anywhere near my car. I found an excellent garage a little further down the same road called Hi-QIn summary: 1) Reception area = untidy. 2) Customer Service = non existent. 3) Fitters knowledge Poor.

It amuses me to read the bleating and whinging that goes on about Kwik-fit or fast fit garages in general. I have worked in the industry for three years now and agree that there are good and bad working within the industry. Firstly, the majority of fitters are not trained mechanics. Most are not very well paid, work long hours, and ... Read the complete review

DO NOT GO TO KWIK FIT FOR AN MOT!!! I went to my local Kwik fit in Bridgend and basically came away with a 5 page failure report...!! And what a load of rubbish. Took it to a local garage who told me that all that needed replacing was the rear brake bulb and one tyre!! These guys work on commission and are just out to rob, DO NOT be fooled by the 10% online discount like I did, pay an extra tenner and go to the local garage!! WASTERS!!!

I went to Old Shoreham road kwik fit for my MOT - to be told I needed my brakes reparing, severe damage to both disks and pads, front and back need replacing. I then took it to my local garage this weekend to get them fixed (as i got a cheaper quote) to be told they are in perfect condition, no signs of wear, he took it for test drive, emergency stops etc. Turns out kwik fit work on comission, and told me a load of rubbish - clearly thinking I was a clueless 21 yr old girl! Will never go to these guys again. I could have paid £100's = instead I took to someone I trusted for £10 labour costs!
