My wife went into our local kwik (ruislip) fit to get the mot and service done for our corsa. 3 hours later, we get a call saying that the mot had failed, for the usual reasons, 3 tyres needed changing, bulb needed changing, break pads had gone and need replacing. We got quoted £400 to get the changes made. The guy clearly said to us ... Read the complete review

I've used Kwik Fit for a couple of things now, primarily because its just up the road. I've used them for tyre replacement, MOT and most recently a full service. Generally i've been reasonably happy with the service. Friendly, helpful and pretty efficient. They've always finished on time and called before doing anything major. ... Read the complete review

Not a clue! Being a kwikfit manager myself, and reading through some of these reviews, it makes me laugh at how some of you members of the public have not got a clue!! When you have a tyre that is illegal and another on 2mm, change the pair! For gods sake it aint rocket science. Then you lot think "ooh im gonna get this checked ... Read the complete review

I had my car servied at Kwik Fit, Walton Vale, Liverpool. They did tremendous damage to the car then tried to blame me for the damage. When I returned to the centre to seek reparation the service fitter and the management were dismissive. I received no satisfaction whatsoever. I rang Customer Services HO in Scotland. They were no help either. All in all a very bad 'service' which they charged my for and damage done to my vehicle which I now have to pay for. I cannot believe they can get away with it and have no remorse or concern for their paying customers. Awful!

I have used Kwik Fit Acton for my MOT two years running and have not had a problem. I get my car serviced elsewhere and knew it should pass, which it did on each occasion with no hassle or trying to sell me anything. Both times it cost £35 and was easy to book online. They even sent a text message to remind me it was due. ... Read the complete review

I visited my local Kwik Fit in Wilmslow, Cheshire last Saturday in order for them to MOT my ageing, though well maintained Rover. Having eventually got the green "pass" certificate, it has come at a cost, a cost I believe to be excessive and I will never use Kwik Fit again. The crux of the matter concerns the cost of ... I'm usually a dealership and 'genuine parts' kind of guy when it comes to the old Hyundai Santa Fe, but being a 54 it is now out of warranty and I'm looking for some value for money. During my last service I was advised that I needed to replace my cam belt 'on age' and that my brakes and tyres were getting within a few ... Read the complete review

Took my Jaguar for an MOT at Kwik Fit for £35 against the advice of all the reviewers here. I know the car is in very good condition as I look after it and had a full service only a month ago.Surprise, surprise, they failed it. The reasons? An air freshner dangling from the rear view mirror and they said a headlamp was out of line. Since I was in a hurry I had little choice but to pay an extra £11.99 for the headlamp to be re-aigned, which took about 5 minutes. This is the first time I have ever had a car fail its MOT.They also gave me an advisory list as long as your arm and tried to flog me a new air freshner and new tyres. Needless to say I declined their offer and won't be going back.

Took car in for air con recharge, it was empty so needed re-charge. Paid the money, got re-charge. 3 weeks later does not work! Phoned up was told that their system would not recognise a small leak! Nothing they can do now! I read it is illegal to re-charge a air con sysem if it has a leak? Would like to take this further, any one advise? Ash

Kwik Fit infuriates me , i have just taken my mothers car to the cleveleys branch in lancashire for a tyre, would not go there except its a hire car and is paid for by the lease company, whilst waiting a guy who had an mot done which failed on head light out, head light of of aim, front brake pads, and whilst emmision passsed was told he needed 20.00 fuel cleaner, guy said how much for pads, and they said they would not know till they strip the break system, another customer booked there car in over the phone for a budget tyre for a nissan primera and was quoted over £80.00 im sorry but i would never trust kwik fit, always phone around local car spare shops and get recomendations, i recomend Mo"s car spares in preston on new hall lane good service and cheap,

took my car to old shoreham road kwik-fit centre in hove,as tyre was flat, and i thought it needed a new one. The mechanic claimed it was totally ruined, and he also reccommended that all four tyres be replaced (he would wouldn't he!). As he only had expensive tyres in stock (he would wouldn't he!!),I thought sod this and just stuck with the spare. A few days later I inflated the 'irrepairable' tyre just to see where the leak was,and heh presto! one week later its still fully inflated!!!! So the mechanic just told a blatant and absolute lie!! How can they do this?? and why?? these guys are obvioulsy working on a bonus system, they make me sick!
