Advantages: good garage
Disadvantages: none
With all of the reports that people have done about National tyres, I am sorry that you feel that way, I have been a mechanic now for 17 years and started working for National Tyres in St Peters Way, Northampton in Feb 2003, We are a happy bunch and alway give a first class service, We show the customers the faults with there cars, before we give the customers the prices/ start work and we show the customers the new parts that have been fitted. The manager is very helpful not like the reports that have been written up about National tyres from other customers. We always want our customers to go away happy with the service that they have got from us, and we will do everything in our power to help people out with any problem with there vehicles.

- 09/09/09 well done mate I too work in the trade and what never seems to be mentioned is that we to get conned by the "general public" who make false claims about faults that you have caused when working on their cars but surprise surprise when you eventually are able to prove that the fault exsited before you even touched it. it all is treated like a big "oh well it was worth a try " by these idiots ,iam not saying all people are the same but if the shoe was on the other foot then all hell would break loose !!!!!! remember trust is a two way thing !if you cannot get the tyres cheaper then admit it dont lie ,trust me the guy will think more of you and pull out all the stops to help you ,be civil and honest ,yes there are dishonest people in the motor trade but arent there in all walks of life give me a trade I'll find a crook ,but remember the vast majority of these people get up in the morning and go out to put food on the table for their family's and to set the record straight I dont know about nationals bonus scheme but trust me any garage I have worked you would have to sell alot of tyres to make a big enough difference to your take home pay !!!!!!! |

- 29/07/08 I've been today in Northampton Branch, first time when i was in there i failed my MOT they tried to charge me 320 quid i refused and went to local garage get it done for 180 came back and failed again. The head lamp has fault adjuster was broken. in local garage they fixed manually. MOT tester said nothing has been done.He opened the headlamp and braked it again... i was shocked... will claim money over the court |

- 06/05/03 I think the problem many people, including myself, have with National Tyres is the level of honesty shown by some staff in some of the branches. (Not all staff, and not all branches, I hasten to add). I don't think you'd deny that managers are on commission for everything they can sell the customer, and this creates a culture where customers are told that things need replacing on their vehicle, when in fact they do not. In my case National Tyres deliberately put a hole in my exhaust with a hammer and nail, in order to sell me a new exhaust. They were prosecuted for it. |
