I previously wrote about Nationwide Autocentres and their "coincidence" that my speedo had stopped working when I took it in for my MOT.
After a closer inspection of my car, I discovered that the needle of my speedo had been hooked under the spike it is meant to rest on.

I unscrewed the cover and unhooked it, took it for a test drive and low and behold, my speedo is working fine.
Nothing wrong with the driver they had quoted me £160+vat and labour to fix, or anything else for that matter.

I am so angry that they have tried to rip me off in such a way, and I cannot believe they would be so brazen! I only hope this hasnt happened to many others.

I dont know if this is the whole franchise or just the Nationwide Autocentres in Torry, Aberdeen but I would avoid them all to be on the safe side.

Rest assured I will be taking this matter to the head office and to trading standards.
