Advantages: some good ones out thier

beware of nationwide auto centres but dont persercute the the staff they are only doing as they are ordered. even their services have changed last year a full service included oil filter, oil, air filter and standard spark plugs. now a full service only includes an oil and filter change everything else is to be checked and recommended but the price stays the same.
on every service the manager has to recommend a cam belt change irrespective of its history or if its due or not he also has to recommend and try to sell the following list pollen filter, air filter, fuel filter, fuel service, ie fuel cleaner and engine oil flush, anti freeze, brake fluid flush, mot guarantee, duxback windscreen solution, wiper blades, oil top, wheel balance ( every time a car goes on the ramp we are expected to remove all wheels and check the balance even if you ask for it or not), tracking/wheel alighment the list is endless also all brakes have to be measured and reported if required even if advised and we are expected to do this and carry out some work with out the correct equipment or poor equipment and poor diagnostic tools.
when some of the good managers do try to take into account previouse work and servicing on the vehicle or have taken the trouble to ask the customer about its history or that the antifreeze or brake fluid is ok wwe still have to recommend them or be grilled by our superiors and accused of not doing our job and not making enough enough gp/profit on the easy money jobs. this company does not really believe in letting the managers do their jobs and looking after the customers and treating them fairly but in squeezing as much as possible with the least amount of staff leading to situations where pefectly good mangers and staff are put under impossible strains and errors occur. Yes they have there code of conduct ect but what they ay in there promotion material and what they demand off the staff are two different things as one would say they speak with fork tounge. so to all trhose nationwide staff
who stand by thier priniciples and will not let thier customers down despite the pressures from senoir management keep up the the good work we are few and far between
