Where do I start with this one!
I used parcel2go to send some parcels recently. First of all, when I got to the lockers they were full. I trundled home and contacted p2g. Of course they have no contact number everything is done via chat which takes ages. And you're not the only person the agent is chatting to, they're chatting to about 7-8 of you. I was told the locker would be emptied that day. So I waited and went again. Guess what, still full. Was told first agent was incorrect - they would be emptied the next day. So I waited, and went again. Still full. Went home, contacted Parcel2Go was told both agents were incorrect and would be that night. By this point I was annoyed. I was assured by the following day it would be sorted. my 3-5 day delivery was now 6-8! Finally when I went again they were empty, only now half my labels wouldn't work. So off I went again. Had to explain it all over again, and was sent new labels.
So after the parcels were successfully dropped off, you would hope that would be it. It wasn't. It was the tip of the iceberg.
Half the parcels then had no tracking. Some were delivered.
When I contacted Parcel2go all they would say was that they'd email the courier, this would take 1-2 days for a reply. One parcel has with the courier a week now. I submitted a claim as per their instructions, for it to be rejected by someone else 20 minutes later. When i contacted them I inquired why it had been rejected. I was told because it had been located. Yet when I asked where it was , they couldn't tell me!!
Another they have claimed would be delivered tomorrow, then tomorrow comes and goes, and nothing. This has been going on for a week. Still no delivery.
Some of the staff don't seem to know what day of the week it is, when they get stuck they just disconnect the chat. The word "customer service" is some distant memory and very clearly does not exist in their office.
Their manner is basically copy and paste standard responses, and even when I have taken it upon myself to contact the courier for correct information they still dont give a damn.
I am now waiting a call from a manager - we shall see what happens.
I have just had an interesting experience with Parcel2go.com and thought I would share it with you. I have had some household belongings packed up for some time ready to go to our holiday home in Spain, and as I am currently in Spain and my husband has stayed in sunny England we decided the timing was perfect to sort out delivery of these boxes. I had previously been recommended to this site by a friend, and had checked out prices via their "quick quote". Super, 25 kg from England to mainland Spain only 22.99! An excellent price. So my husband decided to book the parcel, as he would need to print the labels. He duly added the size and weight of my parcel and was quoted the same price. On the next page they ask for collection details and delivery details. At this point an extra window popped up saying that our location in Spain is remote and the price would now be 41.99 - nearly double. My husband proceeded with purchase, thinking that I must have known about this price hike, and he found the booking process pretty standard with a window coming up at the end with labels for you to print etc. He then rang me and told me to expect the parcel in 3-5 working days. During our conversation, he mentioned the price which I think is an extortionate amount extra to pay. Our location is not remote, it is town of 5000 people with major road and rail links and the administrative capital of the area. I immediately went on to the live chat service on the Parcel2go website and asked the very helpful assistant Stephen to please cancel our order as we had found it cheaper elsewhere. Our order was cancelled without problems and the full money will be returned to my husbands debit card on tuesday. So do I recommend them or not? this is the dilemma? Yes their website as very easy to use and instructions were clear. Yes their webchat service was very helpful and efficient. And I have no reason to believe that they would not have delivered my parcel smoothly and efficiently. So why didn''t they quote accurately in the first place? If a postcode is necessary to give an accurate price in a large country like Spain then make it an required part of the "quick quote" process, not an optional. Thank you Parcel2go you have just wasted half an hour of my life!!
I ordered a mobile phone on Ebay and the seller dispatched the item the very next day and logged it as "collected" by the Parcel2Go courier! Then....it DISAPPEARED! Using the tracking number the Parcel2Go website showed my parcel as "collected" for the next 7 days! There were 4 more stages..."in transit to depot", "at hub", "out for delivery" and "delivered"! My parcel was in stage one of 5 for a WEEK! Where was it? In the couriers van, his house, his wife's handbag?
I rang the very unhelpful Parcel2Go (after much internet searching for a contact number) and was told they would "have a go" at locating the parcel! They never got back to me!
Today....day 9, the tracking system showed me moving to stage 2...in transit to depot! I called them again and was told the courier must have it somewhere or it could be "on the back of a lorry" moving through the "system" to the depot! I was told in no uncertain terms they could not/would not contact the courier and really did not know where it was, but it would certainly not be until next week...2 WEEKS after dispatch!
The delivery time on Ebay was 3-5 working days! No apology, no help!
Just put simply...DO NOT USE HERMES PARCEL2GO, and, if you are unfortunate enough to buy something from a seller who does use them...do not expect to receive you item!!
This is a cautionary tale about the insurance operations of this company that masquerades as a courier service.
I used them to ship an eBay item that I had sold to a buyer in Wales. The item was quite large and had a value of £125, so I paid for extra insurance to make sure I would be reimbursed should the item be lost or damaged on arrival.
The buyer reported the item as missing after a few days and after some wrangling I persuaded Parcel2go that it had indeed gone missing.
However, the compensation that they offered me only covered the item's value and their original shipping charge, NOT their insurance premium or the shipping charge that the buyer had paid to me.
Net result: I had to refund the buyer in full (item value + shipping) and ended up £15 down on the whole affair; Parcel2go kept my insurance premium and probably still made a profit, despite losing my package!
Nice work if you can get it eh?
In addition, it is clear that they have employed the services of an insidious on-line reputation management system to get positive reviews posted on TrustPilot, in a desperate attempt to cover up the reality of their appalling customer service. Shame on you Parcel2Go!
My advice: avoid this shameless outfit unless you want to lose money when your items go missing!
SELLERS & BUYERS BEWARE
Pay for a next day delivery which is collected on Thursday, arriving at Aberdeen Depot (destination depot)on Friday morning only to sit there until the following Tuesday
Pacels2Go uses other couriers to carryout the logistics such as TNT/DHL etc and immediately blames these partners when something goes wrong. They are no more than a middle man in the shipping industry, and a very poor service provider.
Don't try and leave any negative feedback on P2G Facebook or website as it is immediately deleted. Clearly only want folk to know about the good experiences and not the numerous occasions when things go wrong.
Poor service logistically and also the customer service abilities leave a lot to be desired !
Avoid and use a reputable provided, also consider these problems when buying larger items from sellers.
Wish I had asked who the courier service was provided by before I made the purchase. I certainly will in future, and will not complete any transactions were a seller is using Parcels2Go.
Sellers and buyers beware, it would be beneficial to stick to proven logistic providers.
I initially signed upto this company many years ago as part of a topcashback promotion. Nothing better than sending a parcel for free when you get cashback that wipes out the postage price.
So what is parcel2go? Well its a website that has been setup as a broker for parcel delivery companies. You enter the weight, dimensions of your parcel and click submit. You are then presented almost instantly with all the courier companies that want to deliver your parcel, how much it will cost and how long it will take to get the parcel to the destination.
parcel2go have a large delivery network of couriers. Including, Hermes, UPS, Parcel Force, Yodel, TNT, Parcel Force etc
So lets say I have a laptop that I have sold on ebay. Do I go to my local royal mail post office? No chance...not anymore. I have felt that over the year the Post Office are not interested in large parcels and have priced themselves out of the market. I do not even bother with them anymore. I go onto the parcel2go website and see what my options are. Now, the options will depend on how much I have charged for postage, how quick the buyer wants the laptop.
Hermes always comes out as the cheapest with prices starting at £3.50 ex VAT. You then have the option of dropping off the parcel at a local convenience store of which there are loads around (you can search on the website for your nearest drop off) or you can arrange for the courier company to pick it up from your house. There is no additional cost. Hermes however have a minimum of a 2 day delivery time, which in this day and age, is not that bad.
So I have selected Hermes. I then make a payment which can be made by debit/credit card or google pay and paypal. Paypal however require and additional 2% ontop of the total.
I am then presented with a label which I need to print off and attach to my parcel. This has a barcode and the address of where it needs to go. You then either drop it off or wait for the courier to pick it up (normally next day pick up).
Remember, they are a broker. They do not pick up the parcel. If you select UPS, then UPS pick up the parcel. Simples. All parcel2go do is simplify your options and make your life easier.
I have never had any problems with them. If you do have any questions or problems then they have an online chat feature.
You can also send parcels worldwide aswell. Using the same feature IE taking the measurements and weights and destination.
Apart from cheap prices, I love the fact that I do not have to go out to post my items. I can stay at home and wait for the courier to come to me.
PARCEL2GO Lies, poor service and more Lies!"BEWARE!!!! I stopped using this company. Parcel2go denied me £100 of compensation, First. I paid for a next day collection the courier collect after 3 days, I claimed a partial refund as it was not collected next day, parce2go refused, The item arrived damage and when I tried to claim they refused to accept my claim, I am been trying to contact then but they just give me the some answer again and again! "Sorry But we are not able to proceed with your claim". Avoid them!!!
I've waited over a month for URGENT parts. Contacted live support 3 times and rearranged delivery 3 times. Parcel2Go make it impossible for you to find a phone number anywhere and live chat are useless and unhelpful. Courier leaves no card(they haven't even attempted delivery). They refuse to allow me to collect my parcel from the depot. They've now informed me that it's been sent back to the sender and immediately refused to speak to me further under the data protection act because I am the recipient and did not book the collection. It's my damn parcel and I paid for delivery not to mention you haven't even attempted to deliver it.I've never received such an appalling service from any company.These are business items and you've caused massive delays not to mention losing us money.
Twice I have used Parcel2Go to send parcels to buyers on eBay, and never again.The first time I used the Yodel Next Day service but they failed to collect the parcel and was therefore late resulting in bad feedback for me on eBay. I contacted Parcel2Go and they blamed the courier - Yodel. I contacted the courier and they blamed Parcel2Go. Lose, Lose Situation.Anyway, I recently booked another parcel but this time it was using TNT. Guess what! They never arrived, and when contacting TNT they blamed Parcel2Go.What is even more annoying about Parcel2Go they don't allow you to contact them. They have removed their email address, contact form, and phone number off the website. Ask yourself why a company would need to do this! It must be because of all the complaints!I recommend you avoid Parcel2Go.
ordered hermes next day collection, 48 hours delivery, usually they arnt bad, sometimes late collecting but overall i just about live with it.but this time they took 10 days, so for 10 days livechat told me "please be patient and see if they turn up by the end of the day, they are due before 8pm"so 8pm comes and goes, nothing, no reply from livechat cause its after hours.... wtf?same thing for 10 days, finally rebook it for me and change to TNT expressthey come 2 days later, take the item, destroy it during transit and my buyer ends up with a smashed up guitar, not like they didnt know its fragile.blocked from PM'ing them on facebook for getting annoyed at the lack of help, livechats awful.now... they offer me £20 compensation... thanks alot.
It's all ok if they pick up the parcel and deliver it safely etc. but what happens of they don't pick it up? Nothing but a nightmare to deal with. unrealistic solutions and no promises. It's been 57 hours and still waiting for pick in London.
Pacels to go are a complete nightmare of a company to deal with. I had unused goods picked up in prestine condition only to arrive back at he suppliers, so damaged, the supplier refused any form of refund. Parcel to go ask for evidence of this, evidence of that etc. etc.. I am now on e mail number 17, have had several "chat room" conversations. It is very clear they are simply hoping I will go away, so its the small clamins process next as it has now become a point of principle. My advice, DO NOT use these cowboys under any circumstances
I have used other Parcel Brokers hundreds of times, I stupidly decided to try parcel2go this time. Oh what a big big big mistake this was. I booked the service and paid online and waited for the collection. Nothing at all happened. I went online to P2G's website and found the only way to contact them is via an online chat room, this should have rung alarm bells immediately. The member of staff used cut and paste phrases to answer my query and rearranged the collection for the following day, so we're already into 3 days not. NOTHING HAPPENED. I took it myself to ring the courier and they informed me that they had no record of a collection, so I got back to P2G and you have to go through the whole story again and they use cut and paste phrases which imply that they don't really listen to your problem. 5 times I had to contact P2G and everytime they failed to arrange a collection. UPS still deny of getting the booking.
Eventually I found on another website (with 17 pages of complaints) a premium rate 0871 phone number to call P2G ( any company that charges their customers to call them should be shut down immediately, how do they deserve to be in business, surely the customer keeps them alive, how on earth can you charge them to provide customer service?)
After 5 days of promised collections, my parcel was eventually collected.
I will never ever ever use P2G again and I will go back to my own parcel broker. They even refused to refund my money.
BE warned, when things go wrong P2G don't want to know.
booked myhermes 3-5 day delivery and it took 14 days! no replies to emails from parcel2go and myhermes wouldnt speak to me as it was booked through parcel to go. i tried them a week later and booked tnt next day delivery. It was 3 days before the parcel was collected and then it was never delivered. After numerous emails I am now making a claim however will only be paid for a quarter of the items value. Parcel2go have requested numerous documents from me like "Proof of Collection" which Couriers dont normally provide. When I track the package it states been collected and thats it. without the numerous documents they require they will not even provide a refund! They even want an email from the purchaser (As it was an ebay item i was posting) stating that it hasnt been received - surely the courier can confirm this as it needs to be signed for on delivery. All in all it has been an absolute nightmare and we are now back using CityLink direct.
By using Parcel2Go in the event of a problem you cannot deal direct with the courier company so have to wait for a reply as they do not have a phone number to be contacted on. Its a jazzy website but they are just a middleman making money for doing nothing! Would recommend you go direct with the courier if you need to send anything - its also slightly cheaper !
Don't be fooled by their cheaper prices. Don't get me wrong; I used this P2G three times before my problem and everything was good. I'd have rated 8/10. However, because you are not dealing directly with the actual courier; if you have a problem... it's a problem alright. I used TNT. They delivered to the wrong address, accepted the wrong signature - and the package worth £1000+ was opened by some UNKNOWN signaturee. Luckily - through the endeavor of my recipient - I was able to track down my package 10 days later (having had to find out where it had actually been delivered to). I contacted TNT - they forwarded my complaint to P2G. P2G didn't want to know about it. No apology. Nothing. I don't take offense, but their Customer Service rep (Katherine Black) was plainly rude - offering no apology, no explanation for what happened, no discount or partial compensation (even for delay - 24 hour service - my goods arrived at destination 11 days later). A farcical Company with a largely unprofessional and incompetent Customer Service department. I'd urge you to avoid them and pay that extra 10% to deal directly with the courier - unless you like taking risks in the hope that your parcel wont become one of the unlucky statistics, such as what happened with me. Heed these words from the customer service rep... they are worrying... "we do advise the service booked is not a guaranteed collection/delivery service"!
