Parcelforce

Completely disgusted with the incompetence of Parcelforce. I won about 6 items on ebay and three of the sellers were sending by parcelforce around 16.10.09. After waiting patiently for the packages I got nervous after a week when I received the 3 items sent via royal mail (who were striking). I contacted the 3 sellers and all 3 emailed me the tracking numbers. I put the numbers in and got some nonsense that they could not track my package at this time and gave a link to send an email. To their credit, I did receive a response within 24 hours, however the email was how they attempted delivery on the 19th and again on the 22nd. I was interested to see so many reviews and such a low rating for Parcelforce and I feel this is well deserved, although my problem was different to other reviews that I have read. I ordered a bulky but inexpensive item from Staples and they sent it out by Parcelforce, I was out the first and second times they delivered and it had been returned to their depot which was about 10 or 15 miles from my house (I live a couple of miles out of a large city centre, not in the middle of nowhere) so I phoned to arrange for it to be delivered between 9am and 6pm the next day (you can have shorter delivery windows but have to pay for them). ParcelForce is probably the worst company I have ever dealt with. Having read similar scenarios to mine on here, I get the feeling there is more going on than meets the eye. I was sent a parcel from abroad and on their website it showed as delivered. However there is no one by that name where I live, or in fact in the entire building as I was able to later verify. Every time I called ParcelForce, they kept promising that someone would call me back. On a couple of occasions, once I'd given them the tracking number they lowered the volume of their voice, which really made me very suspicious. **I'm writing this review as a receiver of goods, not the sender** Before posting this review I was delighted to see that Parcelforce have a collective dooyoo rating of one star. Let's keep it that way, until Dooyoo allow the nil stars option of course. Parcelforce are probably THE courier company in the UK, teamed with Royal Mail, I always assumed it was a name to be trusted and generally you would think your items are safer getting to you by courier than standard post. I have never had anything delivered to me via parcel force before, but this is the first time... and im STILL waiting. It has been 7 days since my parcel has been sent off and it was supposed to arrive on the second or third of september, to be honest i wasn't expecting it on time because sometime parcels just dont work that way. Despite this i am still waiting patiently. I bought my item from ebay, from a seller who has a 100% possitive feedback, so im trusting there is noproblems there BUT unfortunately i have no tracking code, which means i cannot ask for help from parcel force due to the reason you need a tracking code to do anything on this site.
