I'd agree with the lack of value of Parcel Force insurance - they trashed my fax machine - despite being in a box bought at the Post Office for sending fragiles and marked 'Fragile'. Because the sender had to claim, under their rules and I had, as recipient, the fax machine, they refused as he had 'no proof' and refused to accept a photograph. What a bunch of shisters.

As bad - I sent my son a postal order when he started college for £100 and paid £8 insurance - he moved into a block full of students and Postman Pat took 'a signature' for it- presumably from a passing spiv or his mate. Because it had been signed for they refused to pay up. I might have well burnt the £100 and saved myself £8 worthless insurance. The whole state sector is to be avoided for anything of value.

Summary: If you have a choice, opt for another carrier
