I can not believe how awful Parcelforce are. They are an absolute disgrace! I sent a parcel of Cuban Cigars from the U.K to the Dominican Republic. I paid £220 for their Global Express service which included enhanced compensation because of the value of the item and clearly marked on the parcel what the contents were. I followed the online tracking system which showed them leaving the UK and arriving at the destination. Then there was no update so I made several calls to Parcelforce who assured me that it had arrived in the DR and was with a local agent for delivery. This went on for 2 weeks when I eventually received a letter from US Customs. Parcelforce had routed the parcel through the US where Cuban Cigars are prohibited, therefore they had been seized by customs. There was no need for them to go via the US and they didnt even seem to know that they had done it. When I submitted a compensation claim they told me they wouldnt consider it as 15 days had passed since I posted the parcel. Ridiculous.
