Disadvantages: Slow, unreliable, no Saturday deliveries

I've never actually used Parcelforce myself but I've been on the receiving end of its "service" on more than one occasion and it is, in my experience, very rarely efficient. What really annoys me is that Parcelforce won't deliver on a Saturday, despite the fact that most of us work Monday to Friday and therefore have to make special arrangements in order to get our parcel. Or they do invite you to collect from their depot - that really is a delivery service!
My husband had to arrange for delivery of a package of his to another address and they took down the wrong address. OK, it was just a few doors down but it was just luck that our relative offered to take the parcel in for the recipient and then discovered it was for us, anyway! My friend also sent presents to me mid-December and they arrived on the 10th of January. I used ordinary mail for hers and they arrived safely, well within time for Xmas.
My advice is: just use ordinary mail. Parcelforce is too much hassle!
