Advantages: errrmm, no I'm stuck on that one.
Disadvantages: They don't deliver parcels. Pretty fundamental.
I've had a few things posted to me via Parcelforce (mail order stuff where I didn't choose to use them) and it amazes me just how bad they are. Is it so difficult to transport a parcel to someone's house when the parcel has a great big address written on it? I had ordered some computer peripheral from Dabs.com (who deserve a little slap for using ParcelForce), and it took me 6 trips up to the depot before my package turned up. I came home one evening to find the card left by ParcelForce saying they tried to deliver but I was out. Of course I was s*****g out, I was at work like 90% of people!!!!!! Anyway, I did the usual thing and took the card down the depot after work, and they tried to find the parcel, no luck. Came back next day, still no joy. "Must be out in a van" was the excuse. After all these trips I'd be making, I had probably driven enough miles to have picked the parcel up myself from Dabs. In the end it had turned up, allegedly having been via Birmingham (I was in Bristol), which must mean they can't have had the parcel in the first place when they tried to deliver to my house. What a total shambles, how could something so simple be so difficult? At least the bloke at the desk was friendly, I think it was his first day so he was trying, felt sorry for him. But why oh why do they only deliver within office hours mon-fri? Haven't they released most people are out and they are wasting their time? If they made deliverys around 7pm-10pm when people are in and they traffic is lighter they have much more success and efficiency. Its not rocket science is it really? Grrr!!!

- 23/10/08 parcel force is rubbish, it's rubbish service make me lose a chance to attend a very important exam. It wasted me 100 pounds and six months hard work. I hate parcel force forever |

- 20/05/01 in this day and age people work flexi time and shifts and some work part time hours so delivering evenings would not suit everyone why not put your works address down on the order form or specify where it can be lefteg round back in porch in shed etc at your address or with a neigbour i am a courier and have no problems delivering i always find somwhere safe to leave the parcel or a neigbour who will take it in if people are out |

- 14/02/01 I did take note of the time for the parcel to return to
the depot (48 hours then I think) which I followed.
I had persistantly called the depot through the day, but
I'd be put on hold for 15 minutes before I'd have to give
up.
