Its strange to think that both of these organisations make up 78% of the breakdown assistance market in the UK. I seem to see more local breakdown vehicles than AA and RAC Vans. I have took out breakdown cover with RED RAC. I was not going to bother taking out any cover at all, as I was not prepared to pay over £70 for AA cover. However this is a great alternative.
