I hate having to pay for breakdown cover on my car, but really, on average, it's well worth paying it out every year, and also well worth paying for the little extras. Let me explain. I'm with the Green Flag, on my Dad's policy. I'm at University in Warwick, and the car is registered in Bristol. Because I'm the 3rd car on his policy, it only costs 15 quid a year extra for me to be added. It is for this reason that I'm comprehensively covered, ie they'll tow me to home or my destination, and do home-start if I break down on the driveway.
