Advantages: a postal service

Disadvantages: not as good as it could be

I have heard a lot of bad reports about royal mail and have read a few on here that were not exactly singing there praises but in the last few months my experience with them hadnt been too bad but this all changed a few weeks ago.

I have purchased a few items through amazon which have arrived withing the time specified when ordering which I am pleased about, the parcels have all been in good states when they arrived and nothing was damaged on the other hand I ordered an item from ebay two weeks ago which the seller put two stamps on the item to cover the postage, royal mail left me a card saying there was a parcel for me at there depot that hadnt had all of the postage paid and was 6p short, I went to fetch the parcel and it was clear that the second stamp had been there and been removed but I still had to pay for the postage, not only the 6p it was short but the £1 charge by royal mail for holding the parcel, I was not very impressed with there service here as I dont see the reason for this charge, the post man never tryed to deliver it to my house they just put a card through at the same time as the rest of the post so why the charge.

I have mixed feelings about royal mail as there service is not always as good as you expect it to be.
