Advantages: delivers everywhere

Disadvantages: so many items being delayed or 'lost'

my postman is fantastic i cant fault him, he is here by 9am and leaves parcels in the porch for me if they dont need signing for, its a shame i cant say the same for royal mail as a company.

as i write this i am currently waiting for 4 parcels which were posted btween 1 and 2 weeks ago, and i am also waiting for 2 parcels i have sent to be delivered, both sent 10 days ago by first class post !!

i sell quite a few things on ebay as well as buying from the internet so i use the services of royal mail on a daily basis, and have seen a steady decline in their efficiency, the new pricing structure has caused so much confusion and has sent the costs soaring through the roof, i wouldnt mind so much if the service had improved but it hasnt. the costs of sending everything by recorded delivery soon mounts up as does the extra time it takes to post the item in the first place, but it is something i feel i am going to have to do due to the amount of items being 'lost'.

i do understand that this time of year inevitably brings delays in posting as the number of items royal mail deal with on a daily basis must be phenomenal, but that really isnt an excuse for substandard service.

Summary: best bet is to send everything recorded so you can keep track of it.
