98% delivered next day - I would agree with this. (Royal Mail)

It always amuses me how quick people are to blame Royal Mail when something goes wrong, a package is a day late etc because Frankly, I think that what they offer, for the price they offer it, is absoloutely fantastic.

To get an envelope, from Southern Cornwall, to the Scottish Highlands, in 24 hours, for 36p is pretty damn commendable in my opinion, and in my experience, I would say the 98% next day statistic that Royal Mail give for first class is pretty accurate.

I send things and recieve things daily and I think I have only had one thing get lost in the mail, a small package, which turned up back at my house a month later as "unable to deliver".

I would also like to say that in my experience, Royal Mail handle their goods a lot better than some of the Parcel Couriers in my experience. I often have shoe prints on couriered packages, but Royal Mail packages always seem to arrive in spotless condition.

The pricing isn't that bad either, especially on heavier weight objects. I would say that some post offices are not big enough to handle really large parcels, even though they display prices for them.

Really though I'd ignore the cinics, I use Royal Mail a lot and have always been wondefully impressed by the service provided.

Summary: In my experience (and I stress MY) RM is fantastic!
