Having taken Royal Mail for granted for many years, it wasn't until a couple of year ago that I really started to take notice of the charges and standard of service that are attributed to using Royal Mail. The reason for my enhanced need for the service is that I started up an eBay shop to sell greeting cards and now have to buy around 200 stamps every week as well as going into my branch almost daily to post abroad.

The staff are always very helpful and seem to know their stuff and the prices seem just about fair for this day and age and always seem to reflect inflation and no more than that. The post that we have delivered here always arrives in good condition, but at the other end is where my main gripe is. I was given assurances by Royal Mail that hard back envelopes were not required for my needs and simply writing "please do not bend" on the envelope will be enough to make sure the postman adheres to this. This has proved to be the case for the most part but we do get the odd complaint about the state of the delivery and sometimes that they don't arrive at all which always puzzles me.

Royal Mail has finally started to get back to profitable ways after the last few years of bad press and I am, for the most part, very pleased with them.
