Advantages: Easy to access

Disadvantages: Make mistakes

Royal Mail certainly has its critics and for the mst part it does not do itself many favours with the way its staff and mangement behave sometimes but I know I would much rather have a package be delivered by them rather than one of the so called specialist delivery companies as it is so much easier to collect my mail from Royal Mail as if I'm not home for a package I can always arrange to have it delivered to my local post office for the cost of 50p and then collect it at the weekend when it is more convenient for me, alteratively I can drive to the central collections point which is on an industrial estate.

It is not all hassle free, I seem to get at least one piece of post a month that is not for me and does not carry my address which is a bit of a worry, I did write and complain and they sent me a letter of apology and some free stamps which was a strange thing to do as I was not asking for compensation just concerned that the local post man at the time was a bit rubbish at his job.

They offer a range of services such as letter and parcel deliveries and for someone like myself who rarely sends such items apart from books Royal Mail are nice and convenient and their prices are reasonable enough. You can choose to have next day delivery and also track your packages when you have sent them either by using the Royal Mail online tracking system or by calling a number. This is great as it gives you peace of mind and lets you know when the item has arrived.

Summary: Parcel and mail delivery
