Blank date stamp!!! post office counters .update 2nd oct 2001. (Royal Mail)

I dont know what has happened to this postal service recently,several things have happened
to my mail .

Firstly a letter from a friend in India arrived with the envelope damaged ,with an apology ,the top was ripped off the envelope.

Next I recieved someone elses mail with my number, but the wrong road name.

If that wasnt enough,I sent for a health book about Magnet therapy from Coghill Laboratories in Pontypool Wales ,the first book didnt arrive, and was sent back to the laboratory, with incomplete address on the package ,they did miss somthing off the address.
Years ago the Post Office would still have managed to deliver it.They used to be renowned for finding and delivering even a postal item that had a small omission in the address.
It would help if they kept a copy of the electoral roll at their depot wouldnt it?
Well one more package was sent to me ,it has not arrived ,this time with complete address ,so now Coghill laboratories are sending me one by recorded delivery.

Maybe thats why I havnt heard from my bank,
(see my opinion on my insurance policy?)

Has anyone else had experiences like this.
Also I would be greatful if anyone knows,what other steps I can take ,I have up to date informed the Manager of the Sorting Office ...to be cont ...
Well my parcel arrived at 6-50 this morning the last book I purchased came within a few days ,so it was not a usual happening.

Dont mis- understand what I am saying,I know postmen have a hard job to do .
Yesterdays Times, which I didnt get round to reading ,until this morning, states that EU regulations have drastically cut the hours that a postman will now work;from 60 hours a week to 48 meaning :they are not obliged to work longer than this ,the pay is #5-60 per hour ,no wonder they get fed up.A Royal Mailspokesman said they would be sticking to the directive .
There
was also an article about postman George Mackay who traverses hill and dale and has to negotiate a waterfall in the highlands.Well done Mr Mackay!! This hard working postman and others are however going to lose their overtime ,so what is the future of our postal service?
For all our sakes I hope the powers that be will sort this out ,so everyone is happy and well served.
UPDATE. 2nd oct 2001.
Once again ,I had a similar problem with my bank .In post OFFICE COUNTERS I WAS GIVEN A BLANK STAMP!!!!!
THe person behind the counter said she could not put any more ink on the office stamper!!! It was totally blank no date ,no office address.
.Have you ever HEARD the like .
I am very annoyed because It involved a bill,and i have had more than one office tell me ,that my bill was not payed up .
I am writing a complaint to the General Manager ( I have al;ready spoken to him on the phone,and he was very helpful ,and polite,and agreed that it was not acceptable.
If anyone works for post office counters,on Dooyoo I wouldnt mind your comment.What has happened to standards ,in the post office ?
