SEAT is dedicated to producing cars that excel in design and radiate sporty character. The company based in Spain and active in over 70 countries having about 13 000 employers.
In 2000 celebrated their 50th anniversary. Sociedad Española de Automoviles de Turismo" (SEAT) was officially founded on May 9, 1950 a year and a half later the Spanish Government had signed an alliance with Fiat.
The current SEAT stable includes two raging thoroughbreds: the IBIZA and the LEON. Two stylish powerhouses: the TOLEDO and the CORDOBA. A family sports MPV: the ALHAMBRA. And a hot round-towner: the AROSA.
Two thirds of production is exported, mainly to Europe, but also to over 70 countries on five continents.
SEAT ended 2003 with profits amounting to 135 million euros. Though down on last year's figures, the results are optimal in view of the great investment effort made by the company. 582 million euros were destined into Research & Development (R&D) and adaptation of production processes for the launch of the Altea, symbol of the new SEAT.
