Although we have used Motorsave at Whitwood, Castleford for the last umpteen years we have after a number of very bad experiences with them this year decided never to give our custom to them ever again.

We drive a bog standard Fiesta and an Escort XR3i. We have always taken our cars to this branch as it was near to us. This is what's so bloody annoying about all this. We have literally spent THOUSANDS with them over the years, but no more. Some of the bad experiences we have had this year;

Minor repairs, which they book in at 9.00 but which you don't get your car back till 5.30. This happens *ALL* the time. We went ballistic the last time and asked them if they were actually taking the ****? It is very inconvenient being without your car for the WHOLE of the day, for repairs that take 1/2 - 2 hours.

The last repair we had on the Fiesta was for brakes. They couldn't actually (no matter how hard they apparently serched - hahahah) get the part we needed - this is a F I E S T A remember. They had it from WEDNESDAY to SATURDAY, because it wasn't safe to drive home) and on the Saturday WE had to drive into Leeds to get the part from a supplier. Why *they* couldn't have done this goodness knows. We had the part to them by 10am. At 5.15 pm wife is going hairless because *again* they've had the car in the WHOLE day for a minor repair .... forgetting the fact that they had had it the previous 3 days too!!!

The repair before that, we wanted a back box for the Escort exhaust. Again, they couldn't get the part. Grrrrr. They are a car repair company for goodness sake. Anyway, we got the part sent to us at our home by next day courier and took it down to them. No discount for any of these bills, us having to do half the work for them.

The attitude of the staff / manager was slackadaisical to say the least. Not so much the mechanics, but the guys running the place. I would think you would have to have an &#
39;O' level in slack to work there.

We were so incensed this last time with the 4 day repair we were seriously thinking of writing to the director .... but we've wasted enough time and effort on them frankly.

So, last week we needed an exhaust for the Firsta and decided to take it to the Rapid Fit in Castleford instead. 20 MINUTES the repair took. 20 bloody minutes. Now *that* is the sort of service I expect when I'm paying good money for work. We were so impressed we went back this week and got a set of new tyres for the Escort. This took less than an hour.

They found a part that needed repairing while they were doing the tyres, so we had that done too. They did it immediately, the part was in stock (somethign we're NOT used to at Motorsave) and the staff efficient beyond belief.

Therefore I woudl advise people NEVER to go to motorsave. Escpecially the one in Castleford. They are blinking USELESS, unprofessional and the customer service staff frankly a disgrace to the company. I only hope someone from Motorsave sees this review. I could give then more examples like this ..... somehow though, I get the feeling though that it might be falling on deaf ears.

Tactic? I am an occasional Dooyooer - no crowns, not many miles. Didn't know there was something about long titles. No not a tactic, just feel strongly about the crap we've had from them.

I was intrigued by the title too. Did you make it as long deliberately to get a bigger box in the 25 recent opinions list? That is a serious question, I am wondering if it is a tactic.
