Advantages: good, cheap, and high quality
Disadvantages: none
I am currently learning how to drive, and i am doing so with surepass. I have had around 14 hours of lessons and here is my review!
The drivers always arrive on time, which is great, meaning that you don't end up waiting or having to reschedule lessons. Also all the drivers have obviously been trained in how to teach driving, as they have special handbooks, talk calmly, and seem to know how to best describe different procedures in a clear and informative way.
I have had 2 drivers, one of which retired, and surepass automatically gave me a new driver, so with surepass you know that if anything ever happens, you money is safe, as you have not surepass is a big organisation, so they keep account on money and so on.
The price for 1 hour is £18, and although other driving schools are cheaper for the first few lessons, the price then rises afterwards, meaning that you end up paying more, so i found for me surepass is cheaper.
The cars that you use are always modern, with the dual control thing, so the instructor can take over if need be, but also the cars are clean, and well maintained. I think the cars they use also have more "tolerance" towards straining the engine compared to other cars, to allow for people learning how to use the car. The instructor also places "reference points" in the form of stickers all around the car, so you know how to align the car properly by checking the kerb on a certain sticker and so on, which is very useful for starting out.
Overall, a really good driving school
Summary: really nice driving school

- 24/08/09 The cost of driving lessons has gone up a lot since I passed my test - I only used to pay £10 an hour back then! |
