ToyotaNewest Review: ... big car manufacturer in England and dealerships seem to be quite scare. The first Toyota dealership we visited was in South East London. We did not get off to a good start. After phoning twice trying to book a test-drive we left various messages for the new car salesman, which were never returned. In desperation we got in our car and drove out hoping that we would get some service if we saw him face-to-face. Needless to say he was busy and asked us to phone him to make an appointment . . . we did not inform him that we had been trying to do just that and he had never returned our calls. I also do not understand why such a large dealer... more |

Replacing a car can be very stressful. The most difficult decision is 'what car' to buy. My husband and I decided that we would make a list of all the cars we fancy, visit the dealerships and then make a short-list. This review is intended to give you an idea of how we found the dealerships, in this case Toyota, as potential buyers. How we were treated and what their service was like. We cannot comment on after-sale service as we have not experienced it yet (we are still in the process of whittling down our short-list). I have always liked the look of the Rav4 and have driven a Toyota in the past. Unfortunately Toyota is not a big car manufacturer in ... Read the complete review

I visited various Toyota dealerships for a good 18 months before taking the plunge in 2005 and buying my Avensis. I found the various dealerships varied quite a lot in terms of customer services prior to a sale. Once the sale had been completed, the aftersalesare second to none. --Dealerships -- I visited dealerships throughout the Midlands in order to find my dream car, my findings are as follows :- Listers Toyota - Coventry This was the first dealer I visited. I was allowed to view the cars on the forecourt with no pressure from the salesman. The cars however were not presented in tip-top condition in my opinion. For example, car seats ... I have to say so far i have been really impressed with the Toyota dealership i visited. I was, and still are, dead against buying from a main dealer as i feel the prices are well over the top. I bought my car privately but a few months after purchasing i recieved a letter asking me to return the car to my local dealership to check something out (a tiny wire connecting the radio). I rang the dealership and they got me in straight away when i wanted (sat morning). When i entered the showroom i was taken to the service department by a really helpful lady. They took my keys and told me it shouldnt take more than around 40 mins. They had tea and coffee ... Read the complete review

Before I start, let’s get a few things straight. 1. I am not a fan of main dealers. My opinion is that they generally overcharge for their own make of vehicle. 2. I think I have put this in the right category as it is about buying a car from the dealer, and not about the dealer’s cars themselves. Therefore, the fact that I bought a Merc from them shouldn’t matter. Let me know if you think this is wrong. 3. I HATE pushy sales people, which is normally my experience of main dealers. 4. I HATE all the extra policies they try to push on you. “HELLOOOOO! I DON’T WANT THEM.” OK, I feel better now. We have been looking for a new ... Read the complete review
