I had a terrible first time experience with UPS for an air freight import from USA to UK. This was scheduled to arrive in 4-7 days. Three weeks later and after numerous phone calls to UPS Customer Service to track down my shipment, I was told by several very polite staff members that they literally had no idea where my shipment was. A "tracking specialist" was assigned which did not yield any results. UPS did not get back to me after several promises that I would be contacted within 24 hours. I had to keep calling UPS to follow up, each time with no progress. When my shipment was finally found, I received a phone call from UPS staff acting as if everything was completely fine with my order. My delivery finally arrived but 6 weeks later I am still awaiting compensation for my complaint. I am not hopeful. This service was very expensive, follow up was poor, not to mention my disbelief over UPS admitting to me they had "no idea" where my 170kg pallet of goods was.

Summary: Losing a 170kg shipment from New York to London is ludicrous
