Welsh Lady narrowboats are found near Whittington on a remote part of North Shropshire on the Llangollen Canal. The hire base is also home to Maestermyn Cruisers, which we have not tried, but which therefore extend the range of boats available. There are five boats available for hire, which range from 35 feet (Rhonwen) to 62 feet (Catrina). Rhonwen is a cosy boat for two, and Catrina will sleep four to six - with the usual convertible dinette transforming into one of the double beds.
